Barrachina is the home to the first pina colada, so you will have to give it a try when you visit. We ordered the virgin pina coladas and they are were amazing. The food tends to be overpriced for what it is, but it's a...More

We stopped at Barrachina's for lunch on the recommendation of a local friend. It's a charming spot. I was actually a bit more intrigued by the wine bar, upstairs. It wasn't open yet, but it looked like a great place to come to at night.

We didn’t set out to visit but wandered in during our walk around old San Juan. The pina coladas were good, no doubt, but the dishes we ordered also were unique. I would describe them as authentic with a twist.

This is the place that says they invented Pina Colada's. These are the very best ones my husband and I have ever had. It is different from the ones you have in the mainland. These come and you must stir them before drinking. On a...More

We were lucky to be there on a Saturday evening when they had entertainment. We enjoyed the food & the atmosphere. Service was good, pina Coladas we’re awesome. It was the first Mofongo for most of us & we all loved it.

We went there around lunch time and had to wait at least a half hour. A couple cruise ships had just landed and everyone went there because it was recommended on the boat. Not sure if it’s usually that busy or just because of cruise...More
