Had been recommended to us on arrival in Old San Juan PR. Hugely popular restaurant and they don't take bookings so expect to wait a while to get a table. Really good vibe and the servers took time to explain the dishes and even dissuaded us from ordering some dishes as it would be too much food (they were right!).... More

THE FOOD WAS AMAZING, but being 'american tourist' we felt a little out of place. We were given two appetizers by mistake, then the server disappeared, and then we ran out of water for over 5 minutes. The food was great, but defiantly felt like 'off the boat' tourist and not truly welcomed. If you are well traveled, or maybe... More

Delicious home style tasting food at a great price. My husband and I shared the famous cancan porkchop. It came with a 2" thick crispy edge of chicharon all around it. Three people can share this pork chop you just have to order the single serve side dishes of rice & beans, pastelles, or whatever you want. They got it... More

This place was really hyped so we felt we had to give it a try. Although the servers were fantastic, everyone in our group was very disappointed and surprised with the poor quality of the food. We had been eating fabulous PR food (cocina criolla) all week and felt that eveything here tasted "mass-produced" and flat in flavor. It catered... More

The Morro de Old San Juan is a spectacular place. The ocean view is breathtaking, the history behind this sight in so interesting, and you will never see anything quite like the structure! A trolley is often available, but it is actually a beautiful walk through the town until one arrives. Have your cameras ready for some excellent pictures.

This is the most recommended restaurant to visit in Old San Juan! People are kind and friendly in there; you'll definitely find Puerto Rican traditional food which I personally didn't find delicious but my friends liked it! I think it's a little bit pricey and that might be because of the location of the restaurant and the well service.

The original restaurant where we booked was absolutely empty. We had walked by Raices and it was jam packed. Decided to see how long we would have to wait and were told 15 minutes. 0 minutes later we were being seated. Mofongo was great and we followed up with an excellent cup of coffee. A cute place with servers in... More

I went for a business meeting to the restaurant and order Mofongo(traditional food with fried plantains) and it was just great.

We were thinking to have lunch outside but too many pigeons drove us inside. We just wanted a light snack since we were having dinner out. The menu had mostly heavy dinner plates. I did order the ceviche and it was excellent. The mojito was disappointing with maybe one sprig of mint. There are much better choices in Old San... More

Wow, I love this place. Although I would advise to ensure that you are hungry before coming here - for maximum satisfaction! We sat outside and people watched, while we ate mofongo. Oh my, it was so delicious and satisfying! I love that they serve their drinks in old fashioned metal cups. It adds to the authenticity. I have also... More
