An absolute must go if You like Italian food. Antonio (Toni) the owner and his chef Alessandro, made the best pasta I ate in years. I will absolutely return to this amazing place in Simpson Bay.

Always treated myself and friends like family. The authentic food is to die for. On the French and Dutch side. Tony and Sam are great hosts. Sam will be missed. Family run. Filling. Clean. Full of love. Hollie

Since one of the original owners past away, the service and care has gone down hill. The owners daughter is a terrible host, self centered, sarcastic and couldn't care about your experience at dinner

It was our last night in Sint Maarten, and we wanted to make it special. So we decided to go to Cugini. I ordered a rack of lamb medium rare and was told that it only came with some grilled zucchini. I would have loved...More

We must have gone here the wrong night because the food was awful and it took over an hour and half to get. One of us ordered a lasagna that she could not cut through with a knife. All the other meals were similarly bad....More

A table for 10, awesome night...everyone loved their meals, and the great wine...but the best part was the live entertainment. The tiramisu was fabulous (see photo) Looking forward to our next visit.

Six of us went for pizza. Everyone ordered something different and raved about it. Terrific water views from dining room. Eclectic decor with a Sicilian slant. I am a professional pizza eater, but their pie with provolone and thinly sliced potato was a revelation. Service...More

The new version of CUGINI TRATTORIA ITALIANA must be what all restaurant owners dream about: open the gates without any further announcement, and within hours all tables are busy! Such was the success of CUGINI's that even during the early weeks - commonly referred to as a 'soft opening'- reservations were a necessity. Cuigini Trattoria Italiana has been a fixture of the island's restaurant scene for many years. The original Italian cuisine - always prepared a la minute! - has attracted a loyal following amongst repeat visitors and island residents. The original CUGINI was a landmark in Marigot's Marina Royale. Outgrowing the facilities, a brand new CUGINI has been transplanted to the island's Dutch side and the ever-growing Simpson Bay region. The new incarnation of CUGINI TRATTORIA ITALIANA has been a huge success from the moment Toni Piccione opened the gates. The location is fantastic: right on the shores of the Lagoon and along Simpson Bay's Golden Mile, CUGINI is easily accessible from all major resorts. There is reserved parking for guests, eliminating the search for a secure parking spot - one of the common head aches in this area. And there is also dockage for yacht tenders. So, dear yacht owners and captains: feel free to send your guests and crew to CUGINI. And for truly romantic souls: an original Venecian Gondola is waiting at the docks behind the Ristorante to take you through the nightly magic of Simpson Bay Lagoon, serving Prosecco and (if desired) CUGINI's food, to the tunes of Italian opera.
