Moored up in North Sound we searched a place to dine avoiding the happy hour crowd, this was exactly what we were looking for. The ambiance was great the food excellent and the service friendly. We ordered the snapper ( fresh and grilled) , and the chick roti with homemade fries... Homemade Choc cake to top it all off... A... More

Very casual and accessible only by boat. In North Sound, Virgin Gorda. Our group tried everything and shared with each other. Service was good, especially once Esther arrived. Serenaded by a sweet voice young man & his guitar. Worth the trip.

Fat Virgin is one of the best casual restaurants I've ever been to. Situated next to the water at North Sound and only accessible by boat (see Elaine at Bradley Power) it features great Roti's, beef curry, fresh grilled fish and the classic hamburger fare that makes eating in the tropics so enjoyable

You can get the free Bitter End Y.C. ferry which leaves Gun Creek hourly on the half hour and either negotate with the ferry captain to drop you off and pick you up at Birras Creek or walk 15 minutes from BEYC to Birras Creek and return for a returning ferry hourly on the hour for Gun Creek. The restaurant... More

What a pleasant surprise near Bitter End. Little restaurant on the water, open for lunch & dinner. Serves some local Roti's as well as amazing burgers and fresh fish. Great food, great drinks and very nice staff.

Pina colada was great, BLT was great, some liked the chicken roti , chutney was great, we had been told the bread was like a crispy naan bread but all of us got soggy bread. The salad was good. Everyone that worked there was nice

Thank you very much for visiting the Fat Virgin's Cafe and giving us a great review. We apologize for the miss-understanding about the roti. Roti is a flat round bread made on a griddle. It is very similar to a flour tortilla and our version has ground lentils and spices folded into the dough. The roti is then filled with... More

Visited VG last week on vacation. Not a foodies destination but there are a few gems to be sure. The Fat Virgin cafe is accessible by boat only, and sits between the YCC yacht club and the Bitter End resort at the east end of the island. A small and unassuming little place we heard about from the villa property... More

We LOVE the Fat Virgin. So much fun. We rent a small skiff from Leverick and tool around North Sound all morning ... ending up at the Fat Virgin for an extended, relaxing lunch. The staff is so welcoming and engaging. And the food is authentic, creative and wonderful. Very much worth the effort.

Ester is a great host with traditional Caribbean food, from Chicken, Fish, Beef Roti (delicious), King Fish, and Mahi. Great view of the harbor while you dine. You will have to figure out transportation by walking from Bitter End, coming by boat or hiring Bradley Boats ferry to bring you over for $5. Enjoy.

We had the Beef Roti and it was excellent. The chef had a great sense of humor and she was very fun to talk with. She also makes some dang good Painkillers and BBC drinks.

Description
At Virgin Cafe's simple "Caribbean fusion" menu offers the best casual waterside dining in the BVI. Our delectable home style dishes include tender guava glazed baby back ribs, West Indian boneless chicken roti, grilled wahoo fish, gourmet sandwiches, fritters and homemade soups. We always use the best quality ingredients, including locally grown produce, freshly caught fish and Angus-grade beef. Homemade sauces and dressings such as sun-dried tomato aioli, lemon-poppy seed salad dressing, and mango chutney are house specialties. Gourmet magazine loves our Fat Virgin Hot Sauce.

You can relax on our front deck with a drink or a 3-course meal. Bring the whole family or make it a special occasion for two. As long as you're ready to slow down the pace and savor our culinary delights, it doesn't matter if you come in your high heels or your bare feet.
