The food, atmosphere, and friendliness at this restaurant can't be beat. Get a taxi to take you there - hard to get there on your own. But totally worth the trip!

Having heard so much about how difficult it is to find this place, we made a day time visit to be sure we could find our way in the dark. That was wise as by mid afternoon we learned they were already fully booked for that evening (our last on the island). The manager was extremely helpful and said she... More

We stayed not far from this resto and enjoyed walking there. Island ambiance at night, plus steel drum entertainment. Great atmosphere. Clearly very popular, but not crowded on Sunday night in March. If you are going for sunset cocktails on Thurs (steak night), be sure to go early (5 pm?). Very pleasant experience. Food enjoyable, tasty, but not extraordinary. Signs... More

And delightful food. Tucked away in the hills you really feel secluded and comfortable. Menu had a variety of meat and fish all done with local ingredients. Get there early for a drink and rooftop sunset!

From the drive to Bananas to the walk to the restaurant , you know you are in a tropical paradise. We had our best meals here, beautiful sunset and relaxing nights. We took our friends here when they visited . They were treated to fresh whole snapper. Best ever. Highly recommend this during your visit. Call for reservation.

The hi-lite of our day in Nevis (we took the car ferry over from Majors Bay, St. Kitts) was lunch at Bananas. Funny thing was we initially thought we'd splurge and eat at one of the restaurants at the Four Seasons but once we got there and looked at the menus we decided to go elsewhere (it wasn't the prices... Be prepared to drive down a long, bumpy road for this place, but I assure it is totally worth the drive. The day we went was one of their rare rainy days, but it was still a wonderful experience. It was raining really hard when we pulled into the parking lot and before we even got our doors open a... More

We went to Bananas based on previous reviews..and, found it to be exceptional. When we parked the car, umbrellas suddenly appeared from the valet, so we were covered all the way to the restaurant. We were kindly welcomed and offered the opportunity to have a glass of wine in the lounge area before being seated for dinner. The setting is... More

We absolutely loved our evening at Bananas. The rum punch was awesome. The food and the service were the best.

Description
Situated on the edge of the Rainforest Bananas is casual fun dining in a magical setting. We take our food very seriously but it is good home cooking prepared by hard working local ladies, not fancy or Gourmet.. However our menu is very creative and we use only fresh ingredients and where possible free range organic produce and meats. We have Magnificent Sunset views from our Firefly lounge and a superb selection of cocktails and old rums and a small selection of cuban Cigars.
