Hard to find but worth the effort! We'd been recommended going here, and we're so glad we did! Very authentic, and the food was fantastic. The chicken and vegetable soup was delicious, then a choice of red snapper freshly caught or lamb from New Zealand...of course we had the red snapper, which came with a selection of side dishes. Cooked... More

Heard so much about Fernando's had to try for ourselves.Just of the road on the left hand side up a hill as you enter near lower beach. The restaurant itself is simple, unpretentious with seating being open air on a covered veranda. The menu well this is the best cooked fish we have had whilst on holiday. Red snapper succulently... We really enjoyed this restaurant. Totally unique, set back from a lovely beach under a house. Our fish had been caught that day by the chef! Really friendly service, very romantic, highly recommended.

So try and get your head around this! I rang up and Fernando answered "yeah mon I've been fishing and I caught well so i'm cooking tonight" then he'll open up and dazzle you! It's that simple!

We enjoyed a great evening with friends. We loved the setting, the food was delicious, calaloo soup & brilliant red snapper with perfectly cooked veggies. The rum cake & rum & raisin ice cream were to die for. Ignore all the catty reviews, come to Fernandos for a good value meal & pleasant service

Fernando's is based on simple principles - the most charming rustic setting for a restaurant we have ever seen, lovely people with big hearts, and totally delicious fresh food cooked to order. Fernando is a fisherman of repute so the fresh fish dishes are perfect - but so is the lamb and the pork and the chicken as well as... More

Brilliant place, fantastic fresh and simple food. Felt like being in a friend's garden having a relaxed and low key, but delicious dinner. A real family affair with 'Nando''s lovely sister Felicia looking after us so well. Local menu with soup followed by "Lamb" or "Fish" with delicious rum and raison ice cream to finish. If informal yet characterful spots... More

Took a while to find but Fernando's Hideaway is my kind of place. Off the beaten track and family run it provides home cooking at its best. Fernando had recently bought a new motor for his fishing boat and red snapper was on the menu. Loved the hearty bean soup and snapper with veg and salad. It was a special... More

We heard about this place from friends, and it was worth the taxi ride. Had to wait til everyone arrived for their reservations. The menu is limited and some items they only have 3-4 plates of, as its based on what was caught that morning. But when the food arrived it was great. Make sure to make reservations.

We have eaten here many times in the last twelve years, this is the first time we have been disappointed. We are familiar with the format that I know some find frustrating, once most tables have arrived they start taking orders - strictly in order of arrival, this is fair and adds to the quirky experience and goes well with...
