What you hope a Caribbean beach front restaurant is going to be like. Chatting to the lovely owner and staff you feel you are in a place where people care about their island, the locals and their customers. This is not a fancy place but it's lovely and our fish lunch was simple but very good.

Had a lovely lunch at Fig Tree. Food was amazing and authentic. Can't beat the view or the live music. Service was a bit slow but it's island time, so sit back and enjoy an extra beer and the view!

The Fig Tree was our local watering hole whilst in Bequia, we visited most days for a meal, a snack or to partake of their marvelous Gin & tonics. The staff were especially friendly and with live music many evenings you can dance the night away. Thank you Ms Johnson for making us so welcome.

We visited here on the last day of the lobster season, so opted to try the lobster! A decent sized half lobster, with 4 side dishes, so it filled us up! Live music, great guitarist. Enjoyable evening, right by the beach.

Mrs Johnson is a great character. She helped us book a sail on the Octopus. Great view on the sea & a mean goat curry!

We stopped for a quick lunch as we were strolling along the walkway in the harbor. Saw on the blackboard that they had conch so decided to try it. We had a nice curry conch and creole mahi mahi. Nice sides were served without entrees. They had a steel drum group playing on the patio which was lots of fun.... More

A quiet and romantic establishment along the Belmont Walk, connecting downtown Port Elizabeth with Princess Margaret Beach. The service was good. Ourselves not being alcohol aficionados, opted for the virgin Sourop Coladas....very nice and refreshing on a hot April evening. We went on to have the Creole Beef Stew, with pumpkin beans and rice, fried plantains, and roasted eggplant. Personally... More

After reading all the reviews on Trip Advisor how could we not visit the Fig Tree! Cheryl's warm welcome, the beautiful setting overlooking the harbour. Delicious food ,cool music, what's not to like? The Goat stew was great, Mahi-Mahi by others in party. Afterwards dancing by nearly all in our party, I chickened out as always. Cheryl is the perfect hostess,... More
