We wanted to try some local food and after reading the reviews on Sogo's we went for dinner one night. We called ahead at 7:30 as the place closes at 8PM - but the woman was really nice and assured us she would be there - and she was. She greeted us and took good care of us! I had... More

My family and I have been visiting Sogo for the last 20 years every time we come to St. John. It is a small, family run restaurant serving local food, but also has burgers for picky kids. They have a vegetarian plate as well. I like this place because there are no noisy drunk crowds. Because everything is homemade this... More

We always stop here. Lovely owner and tasty veggie platter which is what I always get. Plantains, breadfruit, fungi, Caribbean sweet potato...whatever's handy. Good sized drinks too!

It's a nice and low key place. If you are looking for good and tasty local food then drop by. The service was great and deserved the 5 star. I had the chicken pilaf and it was very good. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Unpretentious place with reasonable prices, friendly service, and homemade local dishes. Not fancy, but filling and authentic.

Being tired from the beach, I ordered take-out chicken and fries for them to eat and then relax. The food disappeared immediately. I've also eaten Sogo's chicken and fries. It has a lot of flavor and is freshly cooked just before pick up.

Stopped here on my 2nd night to eat the highly recommended curried goat. Honestly, it was bland, grisly....and it killed my stomach the next day. Service was very pleasant, though. Maybe it was an off night or I have super high expectations (I lived in West Africa, where eating goat is pretty common) but I much preferred De Coal Pot's... More

Definitely a good spot for authentic Caribbean food in an area where that is surprisingly not that easy to find. I had the recommended West Indian seasoned King Fish. Awesome
