I was so looking forward to having some grouper and getting some cute tshirts. Great vibe and what a gorgeous view! Food smelled great. My husband and I ended up leaving after being totally ignored for 45 minutes. I went inside after 20 minutes and...asked the server if.we were supposed to order inside. She said no, she would come out to us. She waited on the 2 tables that were on either side of us (they had been there before us). She did come up to us to ask if another couple could sit at our table, and we said of course, then she cleaned that side of the table (ours was still dirty from the previous people) and she walked away before I could get her attention. There were 2 servers and someone that helped to run food and there were only 7 tables. My husband and I have both waited on tables and tend to be understanding, but this was the absolute worst service we have ever had. So sad ☹️More

Little bit of a drive to get there but well worth the drive. Amazing food and drinks. Frozen drinks are huge and Grouper is amazing.

What a disappointing experience we had! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! We waited for 1 hour and 43 minutes for our waitress to come out and tell us they ran out of shrimp (which we had 2 orders of). The kicker was that the table behind us, who...sat down 20 minutes after us had already been served shrimp! WE LEFT WITHOUT EATING OR BEING SERVED A SINGLE DISH. Our waitress was rude (never smiled, didn’t respond with “you’re welcome” after we had thanked her, etc). After realizing they didn’t have enough food for us, she didn’t apologize once and added 15% gratuity to our bill. Don’t waste your time here and go to Blu instead. (So many other reviews with the same experience about a long wait and no food)More

Beautiful spot right on the beach. Offered range of seafood: lobster, grouper, etc. plus ribs and great tropical drinks. Out server, Deja (great name!) was attentive and charming.

Santanna's is worth the drive to get there. The view is spectacular and the funky outdoor decor is very laid back Bahamian. We had lobster on two occasions and it was spectacular!. The drinks are quite generous too. Along with Tim's on the Bay, this...is my favorite restaurant in Exuma. Oh, and don't forget to visit Mom's Bakery next door for delicious rum cake. Again, worth the drive.More

We ate here twice - service, food and view were all fantastic! Would have loved some choices for desserts and we could have hung out there longer!

Santans's Bar and Grill is a little out of the way, but well worth the drive. My wife and I both ordered their fried lobster and enjoyed every bite. The rice/peas as well as the small portions of cole slaw and baked mac & cheese...were also spot on. The rum drinks were perfect, we both broke the rules and ordered 2nds on these. This place will be getting multiple visits from us during our two weeks on Exuma. Very casual place, expect to eat on picnic tables (some tables under a roof, some not). Order your drinks as early as possible, so you can relax and enjoy the "island time" service-friendly, but not fast. We highly recommend Santana's Bar and Grill.More

We visited 1/2/24 for an early dinner (4:30pm reservation and arrival). We found a seat around 4:45pm and placed the order. Be patient and bring layers especially in the winter months as it gets pretty windy and chilly. There are printed menus for drinks and...food menu changes and is written on the white board (which was erased mid service). Ordered 3 lobster dishes ($40 each-their specialty and came out in about 30 minutes) 2 chicken wings ($10 each, came out first) 2 Alfredo pasta ($22, this took about an hour to come out), chicken popper and conch poppers ($20,$22 came out in 40 minutes) 5 waters and 2 cocktails. The food was good and staff was nice. We expected “island time” service. The reason I am docking one star is they don’t give you an itemized receipt and our bill came out to $375 which doesn’t quite add up. The food and drinks , VAT, service charge at most should have totaled $325. I understand prices are subject to change depending on supplies but I find it very strange to erase the prices mid service and pay an addition $50 ? Just check the bill, folks and come with lots of patience! Don’t depend on reservations. Understand the hostess, cashier, server are one person and possible oversights are likely to happen.More

My sister & I stopped here for lunch. We enjoyed sitting at the picnic table, overlooking the gorgeous water and watching the cats napping on the stone wall. The Peas and rice were very delicious & the beets were wonderful. The Shrimp was great &...the iced tea with Lime was very refreshing. It was a vert laid-back place, with nobody in a hurry, just poking along, which suited us fine. We visited Mommy's Bakery next door & got some cake & buns. All of them were delicious !!!More

Had to visit to try one of the Pina coladas after seeing photos online. Wow! They were so good we went back another day for a second!! My husband had lunch the second time he went which he thoroughly enjoyed. There were no veggie options...but they kindly gave me a complimentary side of Mac n cheese which soaked up the rum nicely! Service was good and friendly.More

This place is located in an outstanding beach and the food is super delicious!! My Sister & I went here for lunch while out riding around the Exumas. The location on the beach is absolutely beautiful. There were some precious cats sleeping in the shade, which added to our enjoyment of the scenery. The employees are friendly & helpful....My sister ordered a vegetable platter, which was rice & peas (beans), beets, and Cole Slaw. The food got spicier and spicier the more she ate. I ordered Grilled Shrimp, which were large & great. I also had Cole Slaw, beets (delicious) and Rice with Peas. I also encountered the fact that the food got hotter and hotter near the bottom, and our tongues & lips were burning. We drank lots of ice water after that ! All in all, we would go again & get the same thing !!! The bathrooms were sufficient, nothing fancy. The beach was nice, with soft white sand & beautiful water, and you could just walk down a small incline to the water.More

Bring cash when traveling to Exuma. You will need it for more than any other place we have visited in the Caribbean islands. Don’t worry about exchanging for Bahamas Currency. USD is always accepted.
