Charlie’s is a must visit when in Exuma and we enjoyed two dinner here this past week. The fried snapper is the best I have ever had and the lobster is delicious and a huge portion as well. The folks at Charlie’s are friendly and...kind every time. Sitting out on the back steps by the water at night is also amazing and one of my favorite things! Went here our last night. Wish we had tried it sooner as we would have gone more than once. Charlie’s is in the fish fry area and a real local experience. We got there around 8:00 pm after a long day on the water. You...order food at a counter and then they call you when its’ ready. It took a LONG time before it was ready. I had BBQ wings which were decent. Family had grouper fingers which they really liked. The best part of Charlie’s is the Karaoke on Sun and Wed nights. It really did not get started until 9 pm and the experience depends a lot on the crowd. But we had some locals and tourists who really got into it. We had SO much fun and ended up staying until 12:30 am. Our teenage kids loved it as did we. Got to know a lot of the locals. Definitely try this place on Karaoke night.More
We were heartbroken to find Charlie's closed for vacation when we arrived on the island.. but really, who would fault someone for taking a vacation? We were thrilled to see them open again just before we left. Charlie's is by far the absolute best Bahamian...Home cooking on the island. A visit to Exuma without a visit to Charlie's without a trip to Charlie's just doesn't feel the same! The food is incredible and the staff is super friendly! Karaoke Nights should not be missed. This is an incredible way to spend time with the locals. If you have not enjoyed Charlie's, you really should not be allowed to review them..More
I stayed near there for an entire week and they were never open. Finally one night we walked by and the side kitchen door was open and it was 6:30 pm and i was told by someone in their that they were running late today....Truly on "island time" i guess. Bad for business if you don't know when a place that is advertised as good is either closed or not yet open, no set hours. Sorry we did not get to try it. Shirley is get all their business.More
We are in Exuma often and this is always our favorite! The food is delicious and plentiful. Prices are great and service is friendly and quick. They are only open for dinner and only accept cash. They have a full bar as well. My favorite...dish is the grouper fingers. They are so tender and juicy. Their sides are excellent. We can't wait to be back!!More
Ambiance is great drinks are wonderful and the service is great food received in a timely manner very quick and it taste amazing even when I come back home to Jamaica I miss that cheese burger
Whenever we are in Great Exuma, we eat at Charlies often. The portions are generous, prices are great and the food is so delicious. I had the grouper fingers one night and the chicken wings another, both were outstanding!! They entrees come as dinners and...you can't beat their sides!! The mac n cheese is amazing!! We also enjoy the Karaoke on Wednesday and Sunday nights. Great place for take out too. My family absolutely LOVES this place!!More
Holy cow - best ribs on Earth come from Charlie's in Exuma. Caramelized and tender, they will surprise you. Been coming here over the last 15 yrs and the food is consistent and tasty. Everything is delicious.
Felt like having a snack ,drove by the fish fry . .I ordered a large veggie pizza and cracked conch with a garden salad and plantains ...I know it might be more than a snack but hey ,I love food lol,especially when its good .I...have tried everything on there menu so I should know .When your in Exuma make sure check out Charlies at the fish fry ....Plzz try the cracked conch ,cracked lobster ,coleslaw peasn rice ,just try a little of everything on the menu.They are very friendly people there.I assure you will not be disappointed!!!More
This is a great little place at the fish fry. Got the snapper and conch and both were delicious. The snapper was one of the best meals of the trip, in particular. The plates are plentiful, the food is delicious tropical fare, and the prices...can't be beat. It took a little while to get the food because they were quite busy, but it was well worth the wait. One of my favorite places in Exuma.More
We visited on a Friday evening and had good grouper fingers and conch fritters for dinner. We sat in the back porch area and enjoyed having the sea splashing us a little while we ate. We left around 8:30 pm, and things were just starting...to pick-up, with lots of locals arriving. Wish we could have stayed later to listen to the live music, but we were too wiped out from a day in the sun. Definitely recommend this restaurant, as well as a dinner visit to the fish fry generally.More

Enjoyed dinner here. Small shack with a small outdoor sitting area overlooking the ocean. Food was good- tried the cracked conch, cracked lobster, and grouper fingers. Fun to see the locals having a good time at the bar.
We went to the fish fry just north of Georgetown and ate at Charlies. You order your food at the counter on the way in and when it is ready they bring it to your table. Get there early so you won't have to wait...for your food. Good drinks, good food, good music.More
