Really lovely food and excellent staff, a touch on the expensive side but it wouldn't put me off returning. All food was freshly cooked and hot and the deserts were delicious, even had free ice creams for the children which was a nice touch. Recommend.

Friendly staff, outstanding surroundings, warm greeting, diverse menu, sublime quality and tastes to wet any appetite let down only by the portioning and temperature of the custard with the Wye Valley Rhubarb crumble. It's a 4.9/5 but I can't score halves on the app so I have rounded the overall score up to 5. Both my partner and I will... More

We visited on the 18th march with friends which was a long overdue night out. We didn't have starters but the mains you couldn't fault and for once I failed to finish my main course which was gammon, it came on a plate with a flat mushroom, black pudding, tomatoes, egg and pineapple and a big bowl of chips. The... More

Called in on a weekday lunch time without booking a table, was greeted and seated straight away, lunch time menu extensive as is the main menu, my husband had the hake which was quite large ,he was delighted and was not disappointed with the taste, cooked to perfection. I had the steak and mushroom pie, plenty of meat and gravy,... More

Nice place, a little off the beaten track but thats not a bad thing. Good range of vegetarian food. I had the vegetable pie, which was lovely. Service good to and parking is easy as the car park is a stones throw from the pub. Nice selection of ales and wines also. Will return.

Revisited this lovely pub for my birthday meal today and as ever it never fails to impress. We were greeted and seated quickly and drinks were ordered and brought promptly. On offer was a St David's Day menu, with plenty of choice and the more traditional menu. My husband ordered a lamb shank which was a huge serving this came... More

Came here for a birthday meal last week and ordered a medium steak. Food was tasty (across the table) but is a little overpriced for what it is. Staff can sometimes come across as a bit rude and intimidating, though this is not always the case with the senior members of the team. Perhaps a little brush-up on customer service... More
