We were visiting a Harbour Island and a friend Who was with us recommended The Landing. Reservations are highly recommended as it’s a rather small restaurant. We sat outside to get a breeze, but little did I know once dusk Would arrive at the mosquitoes...would be out in full force. We were a party of five sharing 32 tops and we had to have mosquito repelling candles on every table, not pleasant. The service was just average because like many other places in the Bahamas gratuity is included, and the food would be considered fine dining for bahamas standards. We enjoyed it, but For the same price the other high end resorts are a better bang for your buck.More

We had our 30th anniversary dinner at the Landing. Isabella was so gracious in coordinating a reservation. Our server Carolyn was was amazing. She escorted us to our decorated table and offered to take pictures of us to celebrate. The food and atmosphere was exactly...the memorable experience we cherish!More

The Landing offers good, solid food and perhaps one of the best bar rooms to be found anywhere. The decor and ambience is quintessential colonial inspired Caribbean. Dining on the balcony overlooking the harbor is a must. The Landing is more upscale than most restaurants...on the island, so don't show up in a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops.More

I know this is one of the top restaurants in Harbour Island but it did not knock my socks off and it’s not inexpensive. There were four of us and they were ready for us with our outside table when we got there, but in...this case an outside table was on the wall that is immediately on the street and not in the garden area. So just know that when you ask for that you might get noisier and dirtier But you’ll see all the action in town. Once we sat, it seemed to take a very long time to get water and cocktails/aperitifs. I’m not sure if that was because our server was trying to be too sensitive or if that was just because of something else. My experience is always to make sure that whoever is seated gets whatever alcoholic beverages or pre-dinner beverages they want as fast as you can. Then you can take some time. We ordered the goat cheese ravioli as a starter and the stone crab stack as a starter. The goat cheese ravioli was really superb and would’ve been fine as dinner. The crab stack is beautiful and tasty, albeit a little difficult to eat. For dinner we had the local fish (which was grouper), the grilled lobster, the cappellini special, and one person ordered the ravioli made larger, to an entrée size. All delicious and good portions but we didn’t think as good value value as other places we’ve eaten on the island. For desserts we tried the banana cake the lemon delicious (which was absolutely the best!) and the Tofka chill (which was OK). All in all it was an expensive dinner and would not be my first choice or top choice on the island. That goes to Runaway Hill, without exception. But if you’re staying in town if you just there briefly this is definitely a place you should eat and even consider staying if you want to be in the town of Dunmore.More

We have had good experiences in the past here but last night was a real disappointment. We brought friends to the island for the first time and I brought them here because I was confident in the experience. We were 4 people. Waited too long...before we could even order a bottle of wine. We got 2 dinners served and then was told there was an issue with the printing of orders and the next 2 would be up shortly. They did not come until the first 2 were long finished. Terrible. You go to dinner with friends to eat together. Mistakes happen but it’s how you respond that matters. No apology, not even the smallest gesture like a comped coffee. I feel like this restaurant is resting on their laurels and fees like you should be grateful to be there. Won’t be back. There are other restaurants on the island that are working super hard and doing a great job. Had dinner at Malcolm 51 tonight and it was a night and day experience. Look around the island. There are many awesome places.More

Didn’t start that well as we waited 30 min just to get a server to our table, despite arriving on time for our reservation and being seated promptly . That said, the server did apologize and it seemed there was a miscommunication about who was...covering our table. Server was very pleasant. It is a lovely setting with nice sunset views. The crab tostadas were fresh and very good. The Chili salt squid was fried with a bit of kick in the chili dipping sauce. It was very very good - light and tender, not too heavy. The curry chicken entree and curry lobster were both excellent.More

We had a Very good dinner at this charming restaurant – – an old house on the waterfront. They did a good job on a crowded evening, and the menu is superb. Every dish we had was well prepared. The bill was a bit of...a shock – $430 for three people, with one bottle of inexpensive wine. But definitely a positive review— they did a great job under difficult ( Covid) circumstances. I would certainly go again!More

Very cool place. Def go to bar, charming bartender and very nice vibe. Meal was perfectly fine, though service went from ok to non-existent. We talked about ordering dessert, but then 10,20...30 minutes went by with our waitress never returned. We had to walk over...and ask for the check. Manager was apologetic ...just not what you’d expect for a $300+ meal at one of nicer places in town.More

This place was lights out. We stayed at The Landing on our first night on the island so we figured we should eat there not knowing anything about it going in. I was floored upon first glance at the menu. Our app orders of fried...squid, and the crab stack did not disappoint. The gorgeous plating was only outdone by how each dish tasted. For our entrees, we had the spicy crab Cappellini and the goat cheese ravioli. My mind was blown. It was southern Italy level cuisine in the middle of the West Indies Atlantic. Our dessert was lights out as was our Sancerre. The service was also out of this world. You can tell the people complaining about rude hostesses and servers are used to having their butts kissed and just walking into their country club and their standing reservations. This place can't help that it is slam packed every night of the week (for great reason), that due to Covid they're limited on tables, staffing, and kitchen help. They did an excellent job accommodating us and the dozens of rude tables of northeastern wasps packing the restaurant. You'd be surprised how far politeness, humility, and simple "please" and "thank you" gets you. Our dinner was so good we ventured back here on our last day for breakfast night and were greeted by our friendly hostess from the first night. The pancakes were the best I've ever had in my life and their ginger afro drink was off the charts! We rolled the dice and came back that night (our last night) because we were so in love with it and were lucky our favorite hostess was once again there. We had to wait about 45 minutes to be seated, so we went next door to Elbow Room for some drinks. Dinner was once again a ten out of ten. I had the rack of lamb this time (per the advice from Dwight at Pink Sands) and they were some of the best lamb I've ever had in my life. I am already dreaming of when I can return to Harbour Island and come back to The Landing.More

the food was fresh and full of good flavors. Even the salads were different, interesting and good. The outdoor seating is nice and this is our favorite restaurant on the island from a food perspective.
