The restaurant is a quaint little place with a great atmosphere! The owner, Roddie, was incredible and treated us like friends as soon as we walked in. He chatted with us as he took our orders and when our food came, it was fantastic! I...definitely will go back there next time I am in Cape Breton.More
Food was alright but had to wait 1 hour for food, and lots of screw ups on the orders, won't be going there in awhile, also had curly cate in mash potatoes, and when confronted about , didn't even know what to say, poor ratings...on this.More
Would not recommend, would never go back. Arrived a little bit before 12pm. Had the waitress take our orders 20 minutes after arriving. Silverware that arrived has fingerprints and other stains on them. Waited 40 minutes for our food, only to have a couple of...things we ordered to come out. Waited another half hour only to see tables that arrived after us get food very similar to ours. Had someone go and ask about our food and the waitress seemed confused about the order. After 10 more minutes (so almost an hour and a half at this point), the majority of our food came out. Some of the plates got mixed up as some people wanted vegetables and instead got fries. As we were eating someone from our group didn’t get our food, so the next time our waitress came around she asked about her order. They didn’t put it in, along with the appetizers we ordered! Waited even longer for that. Someone in our group had to ask for potatoes and even when she got them, part of a curly cake was in her food! I understand that any restaurant can have issues, but this was absolutely absurd. I do not recommend coming here to anyone unless things change.More
Great lunch on a patio with a wonderful view. The food was fantastic, we loved the pan fried haddock, simply delicious. The fish chowder was the best we had during our visit to the island and we’ve been tasting lots. If you are visiting the...area do yourself a favour and stop here for a delicious meal.More
Great little stopover after distance on the trail. Nice sea view from deck. Food was awesome. Fish & chips nicely coated lightly . Staff very friendly and it was a lovely day to be out . Great menu .
Very healthy, fresh and tasty food. The best food that we had on our 3 days stay at cape Breton. The girl who served us was good too.

There was nothing special about our meal: fish and chips and fish chowder but the owner is a very special person who is friendly and supports several children in the developing world. This is just across the bridge in Belle Cote in a lovely area...on the Cabot Trail.More
Great home cooked food, and super fresh seafood! Whenever we come for a visit to the island, we always stop here to get a meal because the staff is always so friendly. They really know how to make their customers feel welcome and taken care....I highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!More
Enjoyed a cold beer on the patio, along with a cup of seafood chowder and a fresh biscuit. Was a great afternoon, and the friendly locals and staff made my day.
Owner was very friendly, had the best vegetarian pizza we’ve had in years. 10/10 all around. Was a half hour drive for us from the cabin we stayed in, and well worth the wait.
My family and I ordered Pizza and Garlic Fingers from Roddie's Pizza Menu at the Belle View Restaurant. It wasn't good... it was darn good!! Some of the best pizza I have ever had. The crust was perfect (soft, not too thick) and the toppings...were very well-prepared. A very good pizza. The Garlic Fingers were some of the best that we have ever had - and being from Halifax, that says a lot! I highly recommend the Belle View Restaurant for their excellent food, service, and hospitality! A very fine establishment that the community of Belle Cote and Margaree Harbour should be very proud of! Thank you for a wonderful supper.More
Stopped here after covering the Cabot trail. It was about 7:50 pm and there was no other restaurants open around. The owner was about to close shop and was cleaning up. Still, he agreed to cook for as and made some really great food. The...food taste good, ingredients were really fresh and looks locally sourced. Had some great conversation with Roddie the owner, who is cheerful and friendly guy. Overall a some really nice experience. Totally recommend this place.More
Stopped here shortly after 6 for supper and immediately got the vibe that the staff were disinterested and just wanted to go home. The waitress was cordial at our table and took our order and soon brought our food. Then the 2 waitresses began to...clean up,one with a broom and the other with a mop and bucket. Come on, wait until your customers finish eating before you clean the floor. Last time for Belle View.More
