I first arrived at this restaurant after a very long and tiring day. I was very hungry and my expectations were low, which I guess depends on how you view the quality of rural restaurants in the Western Region of Ghana (my expectations are always low). Entering Cafe Puerto after a short stroll down the boardwalk is like stepping in... More

A Spanish Restaurant in the middle of rural Ghana??? It seems a Spanish guy has made a lakeside house not far from her, and an unexpected treasure in the restaurant, which is located just away from the road, where the boat trio to Nzulezo (the village on stilts) starts. Seating is on a cool, pleasant veranda sheltered from the sun... More

Cafe Puerto is one of the best five restaurants in Ghana. In such a breath taking environment.Their food is very delicious. The owner is also a wine specialist so wine lovers are warmly welcome. Cafe Puerto simply the best!!!.

A positive surprise this restaurant located at the embarking-disembarking place for canoes to the village Nzulezo. Food of excellent quality and something different -for us a real relief after a week upcountry – and served in a friendly and prompt matter in a nice and clean environment for a reasonable price. The boat trip through the wetlands and on the... More

You wont get any more convenient than this for food, drink, bathrooms, and respite as you come and go to the stilted village. This establishment sits 100m from boat departure and 25 metres off the road. Clean, comfortable, plenty of seating and an inspired Spanish tapas, caribbean, and Ghana fusion menu. Cuban rice with egg and spicy tomato sauce; flash fried... More

Great restaurant at the entrance to the wetlands that take you to Nzulezo! The sangria was very nice as was the fresh tilapia I had for a late lunch. Highly recommend two of the tapas - the empanadas are proper Spanish empanadas and the fried cheese was yummy!

It was very welcome to find this restaurant right in the middle of the countryside after visiting Nzulezo Village. The staff were not that friendly and couldn't offer much help in terms of what their specialties were or recommendations for a meal. Had whole tilapia and french fries and as expected the fish was very fresh. Had the last Heineken... More

Such a wonderful place in the middle of the savannas, the restaurant is beautifully constructed and decorated, the staff is so friendly and the prices are relatively okay however the food wasn't so tasty, at least not what you expect when u enter such a classy restaurant with good taste. Anyways you must try it, it's a hidden gem.

Sitting right there on the quay from which you leave for Nzulezu, the restaurant is run by a Spanish couple, and is a miracle, especially after boating around the swamp for hours. Unbelievable food, really tasty, one of the best i've had in Ghana. Definitely worth a visit if in the area!
