Always happy with service and food at El Cajun. Nice outdoor patio, accommodates large groups. Ordered the eggs Benedict, breakfast sandwich, iced coffee and fruit smoothie. It was delicious. Will return before we go home.

Went to this restaurant with my wife and a friend, we had eaten here before and the food and service were okay. This night proved to be quite a bit below okay. We knew it knew it catered to richer tourists and featured a gringo...centric menu with a few Mexican dishes as well. We were seated quickly and then ignored for quite a long time. We finally ordered drinks, wine for my wife and I and a beer for my friend. He politely requested a glass with his beer. After a good wait our wine was served and a beer arrived with no glass, it was politely requested again we took the opportunity to order food before the waiter disappeared again. My wife and I decided to split a burger My friend decided to stay with local cuisine and ordered a burrito only to be told they had no tortillas, chicken, pork or beef as well.(this is Mexico?). Had to re check the menu and finally settled on a Cobb Salad. Off went our waiter. He served food to some people who were seated after us. Still no glass. Requested for a third time. He served some more people and finally returned with a glass after about 1/2 hour. Another long wait, many others served who came after us. Our burger arrived, the size of a junior mint and nothing on it. Friend never got his salad and finally cancelled his order. Will never return. Not recommendedMore

We were at this restaurant 2 years ago and felt it was adequate and the service was reasonable. It caters to gringos who really don’t like Mexican food, burgers, wings, ribs etc. Went last night for a change of pace. Atrocious service, ridiculous food. My...wife and I ordered a burger to share and our friend ordered a burrito. The waiter informed him he could not order the burrito as they had no tortillas (Mexico hmm), also no chicken or beef. He changed his order to a Cobb Salad. My wife and I waited 30 minutes to get served while many others who came later were served quicker and with more elaborate meals. Our burger arrived and was about the size of a junior mint and as dry as iguana jersey. Our friend never got his Cobb Salad after an hour so finally cancelled his order as we had finished our canapé burger. Crap service, crap food, almost to be expected when we saw the patrons. Buyer bewareMore

I had the Jambalaya, and my friends had the pulled pork sandwich and the burrito/empanada. Everything tasted good and we enjoyed it immensely, however, the service was awful. We sat in front out on the patio. I had to get their attention to get another...drink and waited a long time... we sat for a while with our used dishes on the table, waiting for someone to take it away and so we could ask for our bill. If the service was tightened up, I would have given them a better rating.More

After eating out at various places in La Crucecita and surrounds, we decided to take a walk in a different direction. I had seen this restaurant when doing a restaurant search online, but the reviews did not really do it justice, in my opinion. First...of all, though it's not on the beaten path per se, it is in a really nice, quiet neighborhood next to a lovely park. Second, it has a pleasant, whimsical atmosphere. For us, finding a restaurant with some non-Mexican vegetarian options (like falafel and veggie burgers) was welcome. The food was well presented, quite tasty and the waiter was friendly and responsive. Our only issue was that, comparatively speaking, it was a bit on the pricey side. We figured it caters to tourists from Canada and the States more than local. Still, a very refreshing change of pace.More

Came here for dinner our first night as we enjoyed it so much last year. Hubby had blackened mahi-mahi mahi and I had burger with Brie cheese. Also ordered the monster margarita. Service was super slow; I don’t know if our server was done with...her shift or quit but no one came by to see if we wanted another drink or anything. The table next to us had to go and see what was taking so long. It took over an hour to get our food. We’re on vacation so weren’t in a hurry but still. When we finally got our food, it was good. Also noticed people that arrived after us got their food in a timely manner. Also had no napkins on our table. But no one came by to see if we needed anything.More

We had burgers and handmade onion rings which were excellent. We sat inside but there’s a huge patio as well. Used to be called Mr. Burillo’s. Same owners, new name.

Just had dinner here with my son and $55 (USD) later very disappointed. The ribs were especially horrible-- and I mean really bad-- awful. The arrechera was also of poor quality. We had two appetizers, wings and onion rings. The wings were fair and the...onion rings were the only thing we had that that were actually good (above average). This place is straight up gringo and if I were you I would take a HARD PASS. Awful.More

So you've been in Huatalco for a while and want something to eat that's a little closer to home. This place had excellent burgers, atmosphere was great and service was quite good. Well managed, loved the atmosphere and the location.

Restaurant is located on the side of the Marine Park Plaza. Big patio with a few tables inside. Had a margarita which was huge and very good. We ordered the wings, which was the special of the day. We did half mango habanero and half...spicy teriyaki. Just spicy enough. We also ordered the ribs to split. My hubby makes pretty good ribs at home and is pretty snobby about ribs when he eats them out. He gave them a thumbs up which says a lot. We almost can’t wait to come back here again because the menu is pretty big. I was already planning my next meal!More

Very large menu from ribs, tacos, pastas, burgers, salads, wraps, wings etc. mango margarita was excellent and beer were cold. The Cajun chicken breast was excellent but the baked potatoes with it was so good. Their poutine was enjoyed as a side dish for a...couple of people in our group. The Philly beef dip was very tasty as well. The people who tried their pita wraps said they were very good. Excellent service from Luis even though the restaurant was very busy. Nice outdoor seating - try it you won’t be sorry.More
