A Nice Dinner

The food here was very good and tasted like a homemade meal. Which was a delight, as because of the restrictions due to Covid our expectations were that it was going to be standard burger and fries. The meal we purchased was far tastier than we expected.

Perfect pizza!

We ordered a medium pizza and it was so fresh and yummy. Due to COVID-19 they are just doing takeout but they have picnic tables set up outside which was great. The menu is huge, we can’t wait to go back and try other menu items. Definitely recommend the pizza!

Great food and cozy spot.

What a great little restaurant!! We went as a family for dinner and 2 of us have a gluten allergy. To our surprise there were many options. The plates were huge and we all loved our food.

Terrible customer service

I will never be spending another dime into this business. I’ve never seen staff so rude including the owners and it’s absolutely disgusting. Whenever food is ordered from them it is over cooked and I mean over cooked, or it’s not the correct order and when you ask for them to fix it, they just treat you like crap and tell you that you re can re pay for the order. Such a terrible way how this business is run.

Fast and delicious

The food was fast and flavourful. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The server was lovely and desserts looked excellent (although we didn’t get them). We got there just before noon - looked to be filling up quickly as we departed.

Felt unwelcome

Made us feel like a thief for moving tables outside. They wanted glasses inside and we offered to bring them back in and swap them for plastic. They came back out and demanded us to pay before eating but not anyone else who had their food brought out to them. And someone tried intimidating us by staring us down as we ate. I tipped a little over 10 dollars, we complied to swap the glass but they said no thats fine just to bring it in when we’re done and then some guy sat out and stared us down. I even asked again should I swap the glass and they said no. Super unwelcoming and really just made to feel like im thieving despite trying to swap the glass they were upset was outside by twice. Younger girl was fine but the older woman really did not like us eating here. Shame because the poutine was pretty damn good but couldn’t enjoy it being watched ://

I’m sorry you felt this way. For patio dining we ask our customers to order at our takeout window, pay and choose a seat on the patio. When the food is ready we deliver it to you. It works great for both the staff and customers. Patio dining is in takeout containers and many patrons like this so they can just get up and leave because they are already paid up and can take their leftovers with them. So all of the other customers on the patio had already paid and were just waiting on their food to arrive. Dine in customers pay when they have completed their visit. If a customer chooses to dine on the patio after seated inside we ask for them to please pay and we will gladly take their food to them. It just works for us. As for someone sitting and watching you I can absolutely confirm that it was none of the staff. We barely even get lunch or a break in the busy season. We always want our customers to feel welcome so I’m sorry you didn’t.

Great variety of good food at reasonable prices. Great staff. We had burgers, pizza, soup and sandwiches all on different nights. Staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Huge Portions!

one dish is for two people, they do take phone orders which is the best thing to do, limited hours (12 to 7) food is good, very big variety, parking, beside hospital. they are VERY busy.

Excellent place to eat!

I am a regular at Grill & Chill. I have eaten there weekly since it opened. I highly recommend this place to eat on your travels. Customer service is exceptional! Generous portions of food. Food is consistently cooked to perfection! I enjoy the atmosphere and food. They have a variety of foods from yummy fish to burgers and delicious desserts! It is a must try when on the Island. Prices are average for a meal but the food amount is above average.

Great spot for food in Mindemoya!

Visited this restaurant during a visit to Manitoulin Island. Located in Mindemoya, this restaurant is much more than meets the eye. We stopped in around 5pm and found the place to be busy with nearly a full house. We were greeted by a friendly server and promptly seated. The restaurant is rustic in nature, a fun spot to relax and enjoy good food. We had homemade chicken noodle soup, homemade ice tea, onion rings and BBQ chicken wings. Dessert was cheese cake. Great snack foods. All were very tasty. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendly vibe here. An enjoyable visit. Located next to the Mindemoya Inn. They serve ice cream and shakes as well. All the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves. Would recommend. Enjoy!

Best value dessert—- awesome coconut cream pie for only $3.50 per slice!! We got groceries and popped in for dessert to go and back to cottage to bbq dinner.

Soooo many fries

Ate here two days in a row while holidaying on the island. First time had fish and chips. Amazing. Second time had the salisbury steak... it was sooooo good. Both times the amount of fries was crazy! No chance of leaving here hungry! Highly suggest making a reservation... popular restaurant so very busy.

Best Greasy Spoon Ever !

Small greasy spoon ... Unassuming from the outside ... Inside, nothing but Delight !! Hubby and I stopped on a Wednesday evening for dinner. Fabulously friendly staff. Holy cow LARGE potions, all delivered to the table fresh and piping hot. Yummy ! Would visit again in a heart beat.
