The pub has a lovely atmosphere and parking. It's got a good array of food. The brie bites starter was delicious, but the mains tasted of butter. We had a chilli con carne and a sweet and sour pork, and both just tasted overwhelmingly of...More

Thanks for the positive parts of your review, but the rest is a little puzzling. A small amount of butter is involved in the preparation of the Chilli, but there is no butter involved in the preparation of the Sweet & Sour Pork at all,...More

What a fab restaurant/pub! The food was absolutely amazing! I had a chicken burger and it was perfect! The children had sausage & mash, & spaghetti and it went down an absolute treat! Husband has halloumi salad which is always a winner, but this was...More

We visited here on a Friday night when they were very busy. I had Salmon in pastry, we also had steak and ale pie and three bean chilli. The food came quickly, piping hot and good portions. We really enjoyed our meal and staff were...More

Visited here for a family gathering, the place is lovely with some incredible views from the restaurant. With 12 people in our party we did expect some mixed reviews about the food, but no everybody agreed the food was great, the meals were very big....More

We were passing by and thought we would try - although we were right on the 14.30 deadline for food. No problem - the very friendly barman thought it would be OK and we were able to choose from the full specials board. One of...More

We ate here a few times recently during a week long stay nearby. The pub is really cosy and nicely decorated. A really friendly welcome when we arrived and most importantly for us, dog friendly. The main menu has a good choice as well as...More

Thank you for your kind review, and thank you for your custom. As you say, we are dog-friendly, but we do advise you book, especially if bringing your dog along, as the space reserved for guests-with-dogs can quickly be taken. Hope to see you again...More

We stopped by for lunch. Dog friendly, except in the restaurant section. Clearly very busy - justifiably - in summer. In March, it was just comfortably busy. The thick cut, home cooked ham was superb. The chips were first class too. Very good indeed.
