Irish bars, real Irish bars and not a fake pretender like O'Malleys, are renowned for their friendliness and hospitality. O'Malleys is a vile dump that should be avoided. We liked the fact it was quiet and so we settled in for our first drink of the evening, intending to stay awhile. The waitress just could not get our order right...... More

When in Ao Nang I went to the local sports bar to watch a couple of EPL games on the Saturday night and although it was busy I managed to get a seat and sat down to enjoy the games. I'd had a long day so I was flinging and had a couple of quick pints of Chang at a... More

I was there with some of my buddies because they were showing the EURO 2016 soccer games. Unfortunately we did not enjoy ourselves there because there were no crowd except the 5 of us and the owner refused to turn on the air condition. It was very warm and humid even at night and all of us has to sit... More

This is really a sports bar with some Irish 'Cead Mile Failte' thrown in. If you want to escape the shops for a quick pint, or watch the latest match, this is the spot for you. iIs quite quaint and quirky. The beers cheap and there's Magners and Guiness in stock for those missing a taste of home I didn't... More

It was raining so a friend and myself thought we'd have a drink and avoid the monsoon inside. There was a horrible smell inside and the toilet wasn't exactly clean. When the rain slowed we asked to sit outside and ordered another drink, a member of staff made a comment about his staff wanting to sit outside to eat their... More

Take a step back and reconsider.. Avoid this place even if a tsunami has washed away everything else in the city. Went at 5 pm with wife for a couple of ciders and a water on a Sunday afternoon. Place was completely empty, completely! Asked for the bill and got fairly charged for the ciders and got charged 10 times... More

Our hotel room was right next to this bar, so on a day where it had been an on and off monsoon we decided to stay close when going out for an evening drink, this seemed like a fitting place. We each had a draft pint of Chang beer and enjoyed watching the tennis (one of three sports being shown... More
