Stopped here for lunch during a wine tour through the valley and it was by far the best choice there could have happened. Had about ten different dishes and would definitely have them all again. Great location and wine list. Would recommend anyone to stop by there is food for everyone.

We had heard and read so many positive reviews about Finca Altozano that we knew we had to give it go. Made reservations. Very easy for a group of 6 which they do limit the amount of time you are there depending on how many reservations they had. No biggie, our time slot was from 1 to 3 which was... More

We had been wanting to try one of Javier Plascencia's places so this worked out perfectly and coincided with a wine tasting trip to the GV. I have to say I'm quite surprised at all the rave reviews and high dots given to this establishment. My friends and I have had great food all over the world, and we will... More

Been here several times we like to visit tHe wine country often as it's only a short drive from us in San Diego. This place offers a great selection of wine exquisite food that is prepared in fresh ingredients, oils, marinades, and herbs my favorite is the pulpo del pacific appetizer and the lechón, we tend to stay for 2-3... I travelled down a bumpy track, driven by a friend to this great restaurant. Know how to get there your GPS will not necessarily find it. Doing this at night could be very frustrating. Once you get there though you will not be disappointed, great ambiance even when almost empty, great friendly staff and superb food. The vistas around are... More

I'll start with the negative that way it ends on a nice note: It was freezing. The restaurant is outdoors, so you would think they have heaters going just for nights like this weekend. I noticed they had heaters, but none were on. Seems strange to me. They offered blankets which came in handy. My wine grew colder in the... More

Incredible food and fair price. Amazing place, bring a jacket when cold as it is a bit chilly (it is outdoorsy)

It's like an amusement park of delicious food: a taco truck with delicious carnitas + an upscale coffee bar + oyster bar + full on chef-driven restaurant, all open air under funky industrial corrugated metal roofs. The vibe here doesn't get better. Would easily take a daytrip from San Diego to enjoy this spot again!

Off the beaten path, rustic elegance in an open air dining room, excellent wine list. Renowned chef at the helm. Grilled octopus was exciting in a lime peanut sauce. Artisan pasta with house made chorizo was delicious.
