Where can you have cerveza, margaritas, tostados de cerviche and tacos and fresh fish any way you like it and be 30 yards from the Sea of Cortez. Its more than the food----also better than the place next door. Try the almejas chocolate and pescado frito entero----prices are fair and servers are friendly. Relax and enjoy.

The restaurant at Playa El Tecolote has amazing views of the Sea of Cortez, and margaritas and chocolate clams to go with it!

the food here was good, but nothing exceptional. what can you expect from a beachside palapa? We had the stuffed clams (good), grilled shrimp (dry), and marlin empanadas (not bad). With 4 beers the check came to about 740 pesos, $40 U.S., rather pricey. But worth it for a nice afternoon at the beach.

I guess because this is a prime beach location the prices are going to be higher then roadside stands, but we had two fish taco plates (basically 4 street tacos - see picture) an order of chips and guacamole, one beer and one water and the cost was $450 pesos or about $26.50 not including tip. You do not get... More

We went for a drive north of La Paz and ended at the end of the road, about 25 km north of La Paz. It was a partly cloudy day and the turquoise water off the beach was very attractive. The waiter brought us our two beers and one water, although the water glass was cracked. My wife had stuffed... More

I had a shrimp dish that was pretty good for being at the end of the road. The beach is one of the most beautiful with views of Isla Espiritu Santo. I could spend all day here easily.

Too windy to dive or snorkel, so we drove up the coast to Tecolte. Fish tacos were better , rather more generous, than the ones served at Costabaja, where we were staying. Chocolate clams were very fresh. Cheap eats.

Kinda silly to have a minimum consumption if you are sitting under the palapas on the beach. We ordered the seafood platter and it was very good, unfortunately the salsas were not up to par.

Stopped in for lunch while visiting nearby Balandra Beach. The beach was almost deserted. Although we where the only ones at the restaurant (and it looked like that's not unusual), they tried very hard and we appreciated to effort. Lunch and drinks were better than expected.
