If you love meat tacos, this is the place to come. They provide ultra generous portions. Your taco comes with a tortilla filled with meat. You then dress tour taco to your preference with toppings including salsa, guacamole, pickled onions, etc. Our favorite was the arrachera, marinated skirt steak, which is what they are known for (37 peso a taco).

I have lived in La Paz for 9.5 years and "Rancho" was always a favorite spot to take visitors. Famous for the "Arrachera" marinated steak tacos. In recent months they have almost doubled the prices on the menus and now they bring you only 4 or 5 tortilla's and if you ask for more they charge you for them.... Are... More

Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion. Mine.. there was not one single thing special or great about my meal. It was not bad, but not even close to great. My last visit to La Paz, i tried a street vendor that was cheaper but also MUCH better taste-wise. Possibly there are other items on the menu that people... More

Tastes pretty much like mainland taquitos, get the feeling of typical Mexican tacos, arrachera and if you are lucky, a couple of songs by a Charros band.

This place has amazing arrachera tacos! They're served family style with tons of great toppings. There were 5 of us, we ordered the large platter and it was plenty of food. Great ambience, plenty of outdoor seating!

We visited the location on the Malecon and ate the arrachera tacos, which were good but nothing to rave about. the service was actually poor, but considering the waiter had to keep climbing the stairs to the upper level, it was almost explainable. It's just very irritating to have to keep asking for one thing or another the server forgot... More

Walked down the malecon to Rancho Viejo just before midnight to enjoy a half kilo of arrachera with all the terrific condiments including pickled cabbage and roasted peppers. The bean soup which we accidentally ordered was also excellent. Service was prompt and price was reasonable. Came back for breakfast the day we were leaving and the Huevos Vera Cruz was... More

We stopped for lunch about 1 pm after a walk on the malecon. Rancho Viejo is just a block or so inland from the malecon so still has partial views of the water and can benefit from the cooling breezes. I had a mexican plate, called Tampiqueno and my wife had pork ribs. My plate was quite good, especially the... More

Stop looking for a restaurant where to eat, just go to Rancho Viejo, once, twice, three times! That's what we did, we came back for more! Qué rico!!! There's more than tacos but we went directly for them and we were never disappointed, regardless of what kind of tacos we had. El Rancho viejo is open 24/7!

There are a couple of these, but this one is only open at night - fancier than the malecon partner that serves tacos. Very nice place
