This older establishment is on the north end of the Malecon. Small patio row of tables and wlak up counter are always busy. More tables inside that (at times) has AC running. Quick service and really fresh, quality, Baja style seafood. Tostada Especial is a real treat and all ceviches are top notch. Full bar and beer choices.

I have to say that the food was very good, but the service was lacking. Once our drinks and food were delivered, the waiter disappeared. It is right on the 'malecon' across from the water. Go there for the food but beware of the sub-par service, unless our experience wasn't typical.

We had dinner at Mariscos Los Laureles on a Monday evening. The ambiance is typical Mexican, tile floors, wooden furniture. The whole front of the restaurant opens onto the Malecon. We ordered a couple of Tecates and then our troubles began. We had been looking forward to oysters, but no oysters. Okay, we'll have shrimp. The food came reasonably fast,... More

I ate the ceviche - it was OK but not amazing. The grilled fish filet was perfect, the vegetables with it were simply steamed. There is a good view of the Malecon. However both times I have been here the service has been brusque and unfriendly.

The title says it all, simply the best ceviche I've had in Baja. I ordered the "Mixo" (mixed fish, shrimp, scallops) and pulpo (octopus) ceviche tostadas. The octopus was tender and flavorful, and the mixed delicious as well. The table next to me ordered camerones relleno which was large shrimp wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese. It looked fantastic.... More

We went for lunch and the seabass was perfectly cooked. The waiter was very nice and helpful. This restaurant was across the street from the Malecon. The only real negative was the ladies room.

Between the Tailhunter and Laureles my meals were very satisfying and pleasing to the eye. I had a great time with the staff at both places. When I return these two establishments will top my dining list

My wife and I loved this place. Has a large local clientele that speaks to the food quality. We had the best ceviche of our lives. The selection is truly impressive and the price truly unbelievable. This was one of our favorites in all of Baja.

This is a gem in La Paz. Unbelievable Ceviche. Fresh, large portions and inexpensive. We went there a number of times and will return everytime that we are in La Paz. Great view of a thunder and lightening storm over the bay while chatting with the waiters.

The food was good (not exceptional), but the place was lacking atmosphere. They also only had 3 beers available (2 regular, 1 light). Though we had made a reservation, they gave our table away to someone else. They also didn't tell us the restaurant was closing. Within 20 minutes of being seated, the staff was already putting chairs up on... More
