I've been here a number of times. Everything that I have ordered has been anywhere from solid to fantastic. The bistec Mexicana is a favorite. This is a basic diner style restaurants that is usually gringo-free and filled with locals and their families. If you want to walk a few blocks from the seediness of the border and enter "real"... Unfortunately, I don't have anything good to say about La Posada Restaurante. Our experience was pretty poor. The food was not very good. I don't know if it was because we went fairly late in the evening or what...but it was not good.

Great service? Superb, authentic cuisine? And at prices so low, you double-check yourself because you cannot believe it? That is La Posada! We moved to Nogales, AZ in April, and we have found no other place, save La Bocanita in Rio Rico, AZ, that is so consistently satisfying. An easy walk from either crossing, La Posada is a dining experience... More

Typical Mexican lunch specials change every day. Very nice place to have a bite to eat. Home-made taste and lots and lots of memorabilia give it a unique personality. Service is A+. Try the milanesa.

Great family restaurant in Nogales. Very friendly bilingual service, local flavor/ local clientele. Fantastic lunch for 4 for $15 US. We all had different dishes, and all were good.

We walked across the border just because we hadn't been to Mexico before. Nogales, I am sure, is not the nicest town in Mexico, but it was entertaining for a few hours and we had a good lunch. Two of us had the Chile Rellenos, which were good, and another had a cheese omelette (a kid who was tired of... More

This place has been around forever-- and it shows the patron patina of years of loyal locals! The menu was simple, but full of variety. My test of a Mexican breakfast is eggs and machaca and this place passed the test. Moist and full of flavor, the meat was served with colorful vegetables and BACON! Another test of any Mexican... Those who rave here are delusional (or have no perspective). Place is average at best. Not even that really, NO BEER! Mexican food w/o cold beer is, well......not the same. Food is OK, not to seasoned, nor well seasoned. Hot n filling. Dats it. Very affordable. $14 for 3 adults. Tampiqueno, enchiladas and Asado Plaza. Tortillas were ok. I'll not... More

We were the only 'Norte Americanos' in this popular local restaurant on a side street a few blocks from the border. Menu is in Spanish, but ordering is easy. The service was good, the Christmas decorations charming. We felt welcomed, my Mole a la Posada breakfast was slightly sweeter than other moles I've had, but delicious. Prices very reasonable. The...
