Ok so you want a frugal place to sit and watch dolphins and whales under a beach umbrella for cheap? Sea Monkey is for you. Beers are a buck and margaritas are a buck. The chips and guacamole were great and our friends loved the burgers which were thick and juicy. The servers are great and you can sit all... More

Have been going to the Sea Monkey since they opened. Margaritas and beers a buck. If you wanted one of the fruity drinks, it was 2 bucks. Now they raise the price to 4 bucks and up for fruity drinks. I can handle the increase. What we can't handle is the lousy service. Stopped again last night, caught the eye... More

$1.00 beers, $1.00 margaritas. Decent food. Friendly staff, and attentive. They operate the Cheeky Monkey on the Malecon as well.

we were in search of a great strawberry marguerite. We found it. I asked the bartender to put a shot of triple sec in, and he did - no extra charge ! The drinks were fantastic. The staff were more than willing to chat and visit and be of any help that they could. The Manager talked to us for... More

Always a good stop for a lunch, some beer or margaritas at a good price, and a views of the ocean and all the people! Laid back.

Looking for good margarita's? List is extensive and if you are cheap, they have the $1.00 margarita special. A fun place with a friendly staff.

My friend and I recently stayed in PV for 2 and a half weeks and probably ate at Sea Monkeys half of the time. The food is great, as we got to try many different menu items. I strongly recommend the Avocado and Shrimp salad - or King Kong burger if you're really hungry. The drinks are cheap, if you're... More

We had take out for our first night in PV. Avoid the shrimp, heavily breaded and soggy. Onion rings - same. It may have been because it was take out and the Styrofoam containers steamed the food soggy before we ate it (but it is only 2 minutes to our place - we stay in same building as the restaurant)... We have been staying in the building the Sea Monkey is in for well over 20 years and have seen this place go through many different owners/names. The staff at the Sea Monkey is always great and friendly. It seems like this year they have even more waiters than ever (on the beach) so they are alway quite attentive and... More
