I had read about this place years ago and we finally got there. Boy, have we missed out! There are a few tables inside and free standing chairs on the street. If you want a table I would advise getting there when they open at 7pm or shortly thereafter. By the time we left every table and chair was occupied.... More

Found this place on a Vallarta Food Tour and keep coming back year after year. The have the best tacos AL Pastor in the area. They are an evening operation and don't open until after 7 PM.

dinner for well under 100 pesos for 2 people and simply amazing food. The arrachera, bistec and pastor are excellent . Great staff and a wonderful way to mix with the locals. Ok - this is a taco place and, yes, the Al Pastor tacos are to die for!! But you have to have the baked potato - OH MY GOSH!!! Hands down, this is the best Al Pastor you can get in Puerto Vallarta. This restaurant was recommended to us by our taco tour guide. We had an Mexican-American family recommend this place to us. They have been going here for over 15 years. We were not disappointed! Very authentic, delicious tacos. Meat eaters will rejoice. Well if you like tacos this is the place, they are closed one day out of the week so be sure to ask. The Al pastor tacos are amazing.. the bake potato's are great you can get them with some meat on it to depending what you want... You can even get a cold beer.... yup second year visiting Vallarta... If you are looking for authentic, delicious tacos al pastor you must go to Carboncitos! There is a reason why this taco stand is on the food tours, try it and you'll see!

small beef tacos, tasty, well prepared, highly recommended good but not my favorite, but good compared to other taco places I have tried

Recommended by hotel staff, food was ok ,really cheap, I think thats why hotel staff like it. They said the potatoes were good, I just had tacos.
