The title says it all...except add, good coffee, the rare refill, wifi, street scene views, a nice varied fruit plate yogurt, a mega hot coco that was all chocolate and all for about 5$ US.

Probably the only normal coffee I've been able to find in the States or Mexico. Taste of coffee was OK, not a bean I'll remember, and it wasn't strong enough. Soy milk was still on the sweet side. Coffee wasn't hot enough. If you're a coffee enthusiast or from somewhere like Australia where coffee is excellent, this would be average... More

The coffee at Cafe Tal was the best we had in GTO and we loved the atmosphere/decor... Tal the cat was there most days and came over for a stroke too :-) Definitely worth seeking out :-)

We were just wandering the streets and stumbled into this cafe...literally (if you walk down the alley ways of Guanajuato you know what I mean). TAL the cat was sitting outside the front door and wandered in. They were tasting beans and we were drawn in. Best cappuccino we have had in Mexico. This is not a big milky type,... More

The food in Cafe Tal is really great, but the service is really bad and they should get better at this! The food on the other hand is really amazing, is a great non-Mexican breakfast on Guanajuato!

Actually I came back with 6 bags of coffee this trip to tide me over. This is my favorite coffee shop in the world, the cappuccino is to swoon over. Greg the owner is totally cool.

Since my last visit, this place has finally enforced Mexico's smokefree law which makes it MUCH more pleasant! Cute place, good coffee, decent service.

Definitely the best coffee in Guanajuato! Cute little place with two sections across narrow Calle Temezcuitate off Sangre de Cristo (look for the narrow colourful lane). It's indoors but has open windows affording views of passers by. If coffee matters to you, go there!

Excelente coffee! I always make a stop at Cafe Tal when visiting Guanajuato. Greg is an old friend, and his business is doing well. Make sure to get some beans to take home!

the owner, Greg, takes roasting coffee VERY VERY VERY seriously. the atmosphere is laid back if a little spartan, a good place to study or have a quiet conversation. Great coffee to go too.
