Ate at this restaurant twice in different days while visiting Guanajuato, breakfast and lunch dishes are good and really tasty. Service is excellent and impeccable, no matter if the restaurant is crowded, you will be served and treated as if you were the only costumer.

Stopped in for a group lunch on Thursday before Easter. We expected the the restaurant to be crowded and service to be slow. Not at all! Drinks were served immediately and appetizers appeared quickly. We were seated with a view of the Opera House and busy street. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Strongly suggest you consider this as... More

By far it looks the most luxurious restaurant in Guanajuato. Intimidates a little bit. Once you enter you'll find a dedicated service at all times. Menu is exaggerated wide probably more than 50 dishes. A piano man and a view to Teatro Juarez at the end a nice dinner for 2 = $45 usd. A bargain.

We started out with salmon entree followed by a cilantro soup and for the main plate was chicken filled with dry fruits bathed with Molle and to finish up with fruits of passion sorbe to be honest the chicken was a little dry but still tender and the cilantro soup was a little too salty for my taste but the... Centrally located restaurant on El Jardín. We visited initially because it had breakfast for our hotel, Hotel Boutique 1850. (I reviewed that, too.) Very nice spot to sit and watch the town wake up (although i think breakfast was not offered until 9 am, a little late for us) and sip fresh-squeezed OJ and eat breakfast. We liked the atmosphere... We were stopped by the menu del dia which appeared as a great deal. The first course of nopales and mushrooms suggested we were in for a treat but the soup offering was filling but lacked complexity or flavour while the mains were again large in quantity ( a loin for me and stuffed chicken breast for MAZ) but lacking... We dined at Casa Valadez on our first night in Guanajuato. It was really great. Located right on the main square, Plaza de Jardin, it is clearly the fine dining restaurant in the area. Service is somewhat formal and you are at the higher end of the dining spectrum, with the exchange rate being so favorable you are fine dining... More
