Mexican, Yucatan style food, best cochinita tacos, panuchos and tortas, not a fancy place, there's barely where to stand and place your plate, very pintoresque locale. I visited many times the one in Polanco area. Where the business man and car-washer, policeman, housewife, spoiled rich boys and girls, office worker, mailman, are all equal... and surrender to the great taste... More

This city, this country...it's all about street food, standards are high and hard to meet, so in order not to survive but thrive you better deliver something special, that's what these people do, cochinilla, from Yucatán it's their one and only item...with or without gravy. PHENOMENAL!!! It blew my mind, my palette wasn't ready for it, bursting with flavour...goodness, I... More

A coworker wanted me to try this place for lunch while I was visiting the city. It was quite the walk for us, but well worth it. A simple street food place, not a big selection, but the best cochinita pibil around. I had a torta and a taco. It was messy but good! Can't wait to go back!

This pork dish is a tradition in south Mexico, one of the most differentiated and tasty dishes in all the country, This restaurant is very simple, you stand in the street and eat tacos and a soda. Worth it.

Go for the "torta de cochinita pibil", "taco de cochinita pibil", panucho and "sopa de lima". You can´t go wrong! Best cochinita in town!

A visit here is like dropping over to someone´s house for dinner. You can eat on the outdoor patio or at a couple of tables inside. The cook prepares a few entrees each night including cochinita pibil and an interesting tamale with mole sauce. A cold beer and a small salad round out a fun local treat.

Staying in Azcapotzalco

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the Tepeneca people, Azcapotzalco has remained faithful to its roots even as time has passed. Beautiful details abound throughout its gardens, houses and other historical buildings such as the Casa de la Cultural. The works of Siqueiros, Diego Rivera and O'Gorman are in abundance and should not be missed while exploring the area. Walk through the streets and have a taste of the neighborhood, which can be found at the bottom of a good cup of coffee or a scoop of an artisanal ice cream to cool down. Once the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than going out to visit classic cantinas to grab a drink where the nostalgia of the beautiful atmosphere comes to life.
