This was a good restaurant with a mexican style, unfortunatelly it is closed now. They mixed european (mainly french) cooking with mexican ingrdients and style.

Excellent and cheap Mexican food in the heart of Polanco neighborhood. Orders are small so you can order several dishes.

This place is nice and not very expensive, the service is good, and you can try great mexican food. A good option if you want to go with your whole family.

Excellent bone marrow and lentil soup. Prices are great and food is very good. Awesome tuna toasts. Everybody qas trully nice.

Well first they forgot my resevation. Then they took three hours to be seated. Then when we sat down there was vomit on the seats. Then the waiter spelt an acholhic drink on me and my clients. Then when we ordered it took another five hours to get our food. then when it came there were hairs in the sauce.... More

We were advised to go to Fonda El Refugio by our concierge at the Four Seasons. We asked for authentic non-touristy classic Mexican. I'm always skeptical of the concierge recommendations because I feel it's always a loaded recommendation with back door pay-offs. This was one of my favorite places to eat in Mexico City. The staff was very gracious and super polite . . . but the food was amazing!
