We came here because they accepted our food voucher and we were craving pasta after 2 weeks. We sat down and each person seemed confused by our voucher but in the end it was fine. We each got a seafood pasta and split a salad...and cocktails. The food was fine. The salad had fresh veggies and the pasta came with a medley of seafood but the pasta was overcooked. My martini glass was half full which looked ridiculous. I wouldn’t come back if I had to pay regular price but it’s a decent option for airport food.More

Made my long layover in Mexico City not so bad. Had the octopus and steak and bone marrow. Loved all the condiments as well.

Went after a business meeting in Mexico City. Had some “chistorra” spicy sausage tacos as an apetizer (not in the menu, try it) and the “Paella” as a main dish. It was excellent. A great place to go before your return flight home

We have visited several times, as it is one of the better restaurants at Terminal 1. Today however, we learned that they finish off savory dishes with MSG. “Lonchería” culinary methods in a “good” restaurant? Quite a disappointment. Went to get something from the food...court instead.More

Visited the location at the airport, T2, and was gladly surprised. Ordered a salmon that came out cooked to perfection!!. My partner also ordered fish and was very satisfied.... Excellent service and good drinks. An excellent option when at the location!!

I always try the Eggs Benedict when I see them on a menu. Casa Avila's version uses Jamon Serrano and ciabatta bread. The sauce was freshly prepared and was delicious. At 6 am the service was great, including refilling my coffee several times without having...to ask. I visited the new location in T1.More

I had breakfast at this place and I ordered this dish called Huevos a Caballo and there was a piece of hair with my eggs, which was really dissapointing, the service was great yet the server failed to tell me that they offered more fresh...juices (other than orange and grapefruit) which were the only 2 he mentioned so I initially went for orange only but once I opened the menu saw that they had many more options which I would've loved to explore. The restaurant is small but cozy and elegant but even then I'm scared of going back after this bad experience.More

We visited this nice looking restaurant inside the airport for breakfast as group of 5. Service was average - not very friendly towards tourists. We order combos and portions were on the smaller side and not very flavorful. I would not recommend for breakfast.

We had a lovely dinner at Casa Avila with great food and wine. The restaurant is an oasis in the middle of Mexico's very busy airport, isolated from the crowds outside. Food is very good value considering the location.

Mexico airport offers surprisingly good restaurants and I am not talking about the usual fast food chains. Casa Avila is one of them, great for a nice dinner when you arrive or are about to leave. Extensive Spanish menu, at the level of what you...could expect in Madrid, with the traditional favorite dishes, as well as some Mexican options. You can’t get wrong.More

On the way back to France I usually have a full meal before a night flight. I fancied some good tasty food. Casa AVila is a new restaurant since my last visit to Mexico in May 2018. It was a perfect match. efficient service and...fantastic food. We had empanadas marineras which spread a full flavour fo sea food with thin dough around it. The Pulpo a la Gallega was perfect (not chewy at all) and the steamed potatoes perfectly cooked and spread with olive oil and pimento. My favorite dish has been the Cabrito al Horno. This is a master grilled piece of goat perfectly cooked, juicy and tasty. My wife and I had a perfect call before our flight. This restaurant worth a call before to leave CDMX.More

The restaurant is delicious and the service very good. Just be aware of time because it is not fast food. It is a good place to have a bite and wait for someone or arriving early and avoiding traffic. It is a good experience to...make some time at the airport.More

This is a really nice cosy litre restaurant. More suited in atmosphere to lunch or dinner but the breakfast options go on for ever. I never saw so many dishes with eggs! I had Spanish omelette and my colleague had salmon omelette which was probably...better...More

Arriving late at the airport for a connecting flight and very hungry, we originally walked passed this place because we were looking for Mexican food. However, we were drawn back by the friendly front of house and sat down for a meal. What a good...decision. A simple meal of soup, goat's cheese salad, Galician octopus and an order of guacamole (not on the menu but made to order), hit the spot. The waiters were first class and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It raises the standard for most airport food.More
