Walking in here is overwhelming. I’ve never seen so many pastries, cookie, donuts and other baked goods in my life. Locals go here to get large amounts of baked goods for work or their family. I had a donut and some other sort of pastry...More

Honestly, there are better bakeries in CDMX in my opinion. El Ideal is well situated, so almost no tourist can miss it and you can find dozens kinds of very cheap Mexican sweet bread, but the quality is so so.

My wife and I stopped here twice on our most recent trip to CDMX. It's a little confusing if you've never been here before. You pay and have your pan dulce packed in two different places. To purchase cookies upstairs you must first get a...More

My daughter and I got four pastries. OMG they were amazing and only cost 31 pesos. Wish we could have brought a cake or two home with us - they looked delicious. On Sunday this place was jammed with locals, so you know it's great.

This is one of the highlights of our trip! We loved wandering around and checking out the piles and piles of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other delicious goodies. Grab a pastry here and take a short walk to the park and enjoy it!

This is it. This is the bakery you've been waiting for. It goes on and on and on. Let me preface this with I'm a simple chocolate chip cookie kind of girl. Maybe a buttercream chocolate cake here and there but I don't like pies,...More

This is an amazing place. You can buy there cakes from 1 gram to 100 kg. Is also worth just to come there and wonder. But people are buying there like crazy. Very cool, but expensive if you get there with your kids

There are two locations near downtown for Pasteleria Ideal. Thankfully our hotel was about a block away. My girlfriend and myself love bakeries, and had to stop here daily at least once! Pasteleria Ideal is almost overwhelming with the amount of pastries, cookies, and cakes...More
