One of the best meals my partner and I had on a recent trip to Mexico City. This is an outstanding example of Italian/Mexican fusion. Everything about this restaurant was fantastic, from the quality of ingredients to the service and ambiance. Their homemade pastas deserve a special shout-out. Make reservations or else you may have to wait at the bar... More

We were visiting Mexico city seeing the sights and eating wonderful food. We stayed in an airbnb, our host recommend maximo. We had rocket salads mains and awesome desserts plus a tasty cava sparkling wine. Service was professional. We would definitely go back

For a restaurant of this quality (and matching price) the dining room was surprisingly informal- plain wooden tables chairs and benches. But the food is great and the service too which is why the locals pack it. MB is known for using French techniques with Mexican foods. My impression was more that they incorporated a few French ingredients and even... More

My husband and I had not made a reservation (which is totally necessary) and had just heard of Maximo Bistrot Local on our last night in Mexico. We arrived and the restaurant was full and buzzing, the manager was so accommodating and after a brief wait in the upstairs bar, we had a lovely sidewalk table for two. The food... More

We really enjoyed our meal here, the food is of a very good standard. We sat at a table on the street, the restaurant has a cosy romantic feel. The cocktails are fantastic, we are usually wine drinkers especially when eating meat but stuck to the mezcalita frescas. Credit cards accepted.

We did not have a reservation but were welcomed in to sit in the bar upstairs and wait for a table. The space itself is like a converted apartment on a tree lined street. So nice, great wine and jambon cut right off the leg in the lounge. Ceviche with octopus appie also delicious, as are the olives. Dinner was... More

This was by far one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in Mexico City. Typical of restaurants in the Roma neighborhood, it is charming and hip without feeling pretentious. The food is delicious and inventive, a type of Mexican you haven't tried before. Don't think twice about getting the tasting menu, it's truly worth it. Only downside is the... More

We finally made it to this gem of a restaurant in Colonia Roma. The food and service were absolutely first rate. The décor is simple, yet charming, and the noise level was acceptable even though the small room was filled. Reservations are must.

My husband and two adult sons dined here last night. We tried it all - the cocktails, the prime rib, the burrata, the steak the octopus, the risotto, the sorbet, on and on. One item was better than the next. And the presentation is art. Service was outstanding and atmosphere just right. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

We had an outstanding meal at Maximo Bistro. Interesting combinations of flavors. Menu is a mix of Mexican and Italian. We had octopus ceviche and grilled. Both tender, delicious and totally different. Our red snapper dish was cooked perfectly. Also had a wonderful fig and beet salad. Intimate setting with wonderful service.
