Probably the best of the traditional restaurants in town. For breakfast lunch or dinner, el Cardenal is always a safe bet. The service is extraordinary and the quality of the food is also exceptional. If you want to try Mexican food or want to stay more on the international side. I highly recommend it

There is no better place in Mexico City to take a mole and other things. It is a most for Mexican traditional food.

Excellent traditional mexican food. We were 5 at the table, and every single dish we ordered was simply delicious. The service was also very good and fast, despite the fact that it was a very busy afternoon. The premises are nice, clean and spacious. Highly recommended!

Amazing little gem in the heart of this magnificent city. My husband and I stumbled upon it while visiting. Returned several times on that trip. Breakfast is so amazing and fun. Such a delight to be in such a great environment and eat such delectable food. Don't skip the cocoa!

Food is great. Very good mexican cuisine. Casual, light, comfortable. Good for large groups from 6 to 10 people. Reservations are definately recommended. You will really enjoy.

Food is authentic Mexican flavors, dishes are classic and always very beatiful presented for customers. San Angel location is beatifyl old house, in really beautiful street, which make the visit experience incredible. Just be aware saturday afternoon and sundays waiting for table could be considerable. Totally recomend this place.

Food is average, pricy if you consider the value you get, very noisy and too crowded. Several options in the neighborhood much better. They have plenty of options and portions are quite big. I have been more than twice with family and friends but I will never have business dinners there.

Got here a little bit after 9:00 and there was a line. They serve chocolate to those waiting. Had a coffee, some fruit, including delicious avocados, and ate a delicious egg entree that included beef and a red sauce. Precious! Service is great! The place was one of the favorites of Gabriel García Marquez; greatness ate here.

Staying in San Angel

Neighbourhood Profile
San Angel
San Ángel is known for its artistic vibe and elegant details displayed throughout its streets, antique residences and haciendas where famous actors like Consuelo Velázquez, Capulina and other prominent families used to live and that have now been turned into beautiful galleries, cafés and restaurants.
