I visited this restaurant with a large group of people. The service was fast and attentive. The food was very well presented, small portions but quality and tasty. Good selection of wines available too. It's been a while since I was last here and back then it was a cool hip place to be. Reservations are recommended.

I went to have a dinner with some work colleges, the restaurant was near empty and the services take more time than expected, but the plates where amazing. Like the original Tomate in Madrid.

The location and place were cool. The service not so well. They take too long to place the order and to bring additional requirements such as cheese for the risotto.....when they brought it the food was cold. The food was good the dessert excellent

The place is huge – there’s a glassed-in porch, and a large main dining room with a big bar right in the middle. Warm woods and textiles, lots of cushions, it feels very welcoming while hip at the same time. We had Iberico ham croquettas; mushroom pizzettes; some super thinly sliced, melt-in-your-mouth charcuterie with arugula; Black cod with eggplant served... More

Loved it! This is a hip fun place with really great food. Let me get right to it. Sexy vibe with a DJ playing really good music and thankfully not to loud as that is my pet peeve. Favorite things...sausage pizza, spicy potatoes, tuna carpaccio, tartar, croquetas... all great food to share. Ok..i did not love the main courses as... More

While walking around a very nice Polanco area I stumbled upon this restaurnat. Its interior was quite nice which I can not say about their food. For this quite high price level they charge there should be no "failure" dishes but it seems their chef was in bad mood that day or I was particularly unlucky as all of my... More

Had a group dinner here, nice restaurant, beautiful setting. The food was mediocre...kind of pricey too. We were there for 3 hours and I had to flag down the server for a menu, and he only came around once after that to take another drink order. And because we were a "larger" group, they imposed a minimum 15% tip even... More

First impression was very good: nice interior and pleasant atmosphere. Probably I should have been warned by the fact that at 8:30 pm the place (rather big one) was almost empty: just a couple of tables occupied. The food was pure disappointment. Beef carpaccio as a starter was way too salty. Rabbit as the main dish was extremely hot, no... More

Tomate is a fun restaurant. The decor is simple but extremely well done. They have big tables for large parties. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is good and reliable. One thing that is extremely annoying about Bar Tomate is that the waiting staff keep the doors of the smoking area opened for their convenience. This causes the... More
