Although this wonderful restaurant is in centro histórico, it is away from the main sites and streets. Consequently, nearly all of the other diners appeared to be locals. We had the migas de pan soup, quesadillas con nopales, and the house speciality: chile en nogada....More

Really enjoyed my meal here. It is obviously a restaurant for locals, but I love that ..... A bit difficult translating the menu but managed in the end. Large portions and the food is tasty and cheap. I would eat here again.

If you can order the filet of robalo (a fish) topped with huauzontle (an herb) served on a cheese sauce. It was sublime, stunning, rich, mouth-watering, unforgettable. The decor and historical ambience make the place worth a visit, but that fish...! My friend had the...More

Beautiful, historic restaurant with a peaceful, homey atmosphere and friendly staff. The house specialty (Chile con Nogada) is a rather unusual dish, but tasty. It is a big portion, very filling and could probably feed 2 people. The Chile Relleno was not very good, however....More

I had never need to make a reservation, I just avoided the crowded hours (weekends around 14:30 to 17:30) but I guess it is wiser to phone them to make a reservation. Provecho!
