Not only one of the best places where I have enjoyed the Mole Poblano, other kinds of Moles, and also different delicious dishes from Puebla such as the Huazontles. I strongly recommend this restaurant and please do not forget closing your meal with an extraordinary Cafe de Olla. This place only accepts cash, so take it in consideration.

Don't have to travel to Puebla to experience Pueblas top gastronomic experience. Everything perfect from starters to the best mole´t feel I have ever tasted to a delicious Arroz con Leche. Food wasn´t heavy when we finished.

This a traditional place in Mexico City. Small, few tables, the Mole is a specialty but ... I do not think so. Average service and average food.

Endearing little place with simple yet representative decoration, greeted by a smile and a home-like feel. It was hard to choose from the menu, it all seemed delicious. This restaurant is a proud representative of Poblano cuisine (from the neighboring state of Puebla), which is one of Mexico's most diverse and rich gastronomy, therefore it is no easy task to... This is one of the best Mexican ( poblano cuisine ) restaurants in the country. All is homemade and all the moles are to die for. You have huauzontles, the amaranth plant as a great vegetarian option. The chalupitas as a starter are great. The soups to begin are reinvigorating

Out of the way in Colonia Observatorio, this place has fantastic food and service. There were six of us and we all agreed that we could have spent the afternoon eating the chalupitas and drinking beer, but when we ordered the main plates, we were happy that we did. The chiles rellenos and the moles are particularly good.

This place has a great taste for homemade mexican food...however the service is terrible!! Since it is family owned still, which it is part of their success, they open when they want to...and close when they want to. Their schedule is very tight on weekdays, opening few days during the week, and on Sunday they close (read well, close, not... More

Located in a non-so-touristic neighborhood, it is worth the visit. I am a Mexican living in Europe, and every summer I come here with my family. Don't miss "Chiles en Nogada" if you pass by in late summer. Small restaurant, expect waiting time if you get there after 14.30 for lunch. Definitely worth the trip every year. Attention: They don't... More

This has to be one of the hidden jewels of the city. It is not a fancy restaurant and the general area is not on the high end areas of the city, regardless it is a jewel. They serve typical cuisine delicacies from the Puebla region. It has been around for many many years and is attended by the chef/owner.... More

I was reluctantly taken to this restaurant by a friend, but boy was I in for a surprise! If you really want to taste the original and delicious old school Mexican food, go to casa merlos. The chalupitas, are best I have ever tried. Maybe since I did not wnat to go there, I had low expectations and was blown... More
