The wine choices are not extensive, and what they have is not fairly priced. Appetizers were tasty and we... More

It was one of my favorites restaurants in Mexico in 1997~1998. I re-discovered it after twenty years and it is the same amazing food, modern mexican cuisine. The menú has almost not changed and i ordered the same "perejil frito", a "must" of the place. Great

I asked for "higos con jamon serrano y parmezan" and a "risotto con cuitlacotche". The parmezan was actually gruyère, the ham was definitely not serrano and the rice was crunchy. I mentioned it to the waiter and he simply said "here are the ingredients we use" and neither him nor the kitchen staff offered the slightiest apology. I cannot believe... More

Every time I visited my Mexico I had to come to La Tecla. Now that I live here once again I will definitely come more often. This place has a great kitchen and a big attention to detail. There's always some amouse bouche from the chef at the beginning of the meal. The Con I have in this place is... More

For over twenty years La Tecla has been a paragon of quality and value in Mexico City. Iconic dishes like Sopa Seca de Fideo, Cazuela de Tuétano and Fried Parsley are expertly prepared and beautifully presented. La Tecla on Durango is at the corner of one of the streets radiating from the Plaza Cibeles and despite this privileged location La... More

Our family of four recently ate dinner at La Tecla near Cibeles. We mentioned it was our last night in Mexico City and received several complimentary appetizers as a result! I especially loved the crisp-fried tortillas topped with fried parsley and cheese. However, our son's entree, a sindicato steak, was massively undercooked (nearly raw -- the cook must have taken... I was really impressed with everything. The quality of the food, the service was excellent. Quantities aren't that large (just good to know going into it). I can't wait to go back
