What a great little find. Came by to purchase some beans to take home but ended up having a perfectly brewed espresso and some shrimp tacos. Oh the shrimp tacos. So tasty. Must try. Will be back!

We enjoyed our lunch at this friendly centrally located restaurant. A delicious sandwich with excellent coffee and hot chocolate. Service was attentive and friendly. We'd definitely go back!

We visited Cafe Nuevo Mundo in Oaxaca for a delightful meal! It is so much more than excellent coffee and pastries! Depending on what time of day you come, you can enjoy breakfast from an extensive menu or lunch or dinner, sometimes with a fixed menu. Our server, Manuel, was friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. Our meal started with a beautiful... More

Great spot for a mid-afternoon espresso cortado or an evening hot chocolate Oaxaqueño. Good selection of pastries. Very popular with locals and very busy.

We loved the coffee served at our B&B (El Diablo y la Sandia) and we asked where they bought their coffee. Nuevo Mundo not only roasts coffee on site, but they run a small cafe with coffee, pastries etc. And, of course, you can buy 500g or 1kg bags of vacuum packed bags of coffee to take home (500g for... I've lived in Oaxaca since 2009 and have settled on buying my personal coffee beans here (dark roast). It's a funky cafe well loved by locals and a faithful group of return visitors to Oaxaca. It's a place to talk face to face, or read a good book. Not so much to get work done on your computer.

This charming little patio coffee roaster has personality and ambience. The baristas are efficient, friendly and professional in how they make your favorite coffee drink. Any time, night or day, the patio is full of locals and tourists sharing culture and ideas. A true throw-back to Paris in the 20's when Hemingway, Picasso, Modiglianni, Dos Pasos, and Rivera argued over... More

We were so excited to try this coffee cafe but were horribly disappointed. Not only did they not have but two, day old pastries, they were costly for their small size. Waitress and person behind counter spoke no English and were really not very good at their jobs. Menu was extremely limited, food looked average at next table, so I... More

I stopped in to get take out food and drinks for a meal in our hotel room. the cafe was crowded but the staff was attentive and helpful. It took a while for my order to get ready, and then I paid and headed back to the hotel. The order had come in two bags; I thought one was the... More

One of my favorite cafes in town. I went here almost every day during several weeks in Oaxaca. The coffee is solid. The pastries are generally good, too (my favorite was the panque de platano (banana bread)). The other food isn't bad but there are way better food options elsewhere in town. I also really enjoyed the chocolate oaxaqueno (de... More
