...and good Mexican food. Fast service and sometimes live music in an adjacent room. If only the chairs were not so hard!

5 stars, but based on the very limited number of dishes I had. I was visiting Oaxaca and one night wanted to eat near where I was staying. I have a teacher of Spanish in Oaxaca (lessons over the internet) so I asked him. He...More
Service is pretty slow, breakfast is so-so, some of the dinner dishes are pretty darned good. It was right across the street from our hotel, so we went a few times, but finally gave up.

We went almost every night for dinner. We try several different dishes and we were very pleased with everything from appetizers to dessert. The service got better and better every day!

We loved Don Juanito! We ate there 4 times during our 6 day stay in Oaxaca. The pozole is awesome! Good food and service, and the prices are average for the area.
Here with family. Food consistently excellent, friendly and efficient service, prices less than half what you would pay in the more touristy areas. Traditional Oaxaca fare, very well executed. Walk the couple of blocks from the zocalo, it's worth it!
