Wonderful, nicely toasted, tasty tortas. We stopped by twice, last dash on the way to the airport! Delicious fillings, and esp good spicy pickled veggies. Many people were eating two!

These guys work hard to provide the tourists with some nice tortas. Big variery of stuffings. All fresh, prepared on the spot. 20-40 pesos for a torta. Recommended if you are in Oaxaca near Parque El Llano.

Two locations - a food truck in Conzatti Park and a sit down hole in the wall on Trujano just west of the zocalo. Same menu. Great tortas!

The line starts early in the day at this phenomenal sandwich stand which I've visited on more than one visit to Oaxaca. But the line moves fast, so don't give it a thought. I like the tinga de pollo, the chorizo, the milanesa. Get them to go, or sit under the trees in Parque Conzatti. Don't get there too late... More

They seem to have customers all day long, but the service is still quick. I'm addicted to the pierna de puerco, and the ham and egg is a good breakfast torta. For $2 or less these may be the best value in town.

The line looks long, but moves fast. These tortas are SO good and worth the wait. Don't eat meat? No problem. Just asked for a Torta de Quesillo. Want to take it to go? Say "para llevar." Don't want mayonnaise? "Sin mayonesa." (Otherwise, all tortas come with mayo).

Really not much to elaborate on here. Canzatti is a great park. La Hormiga makes great tortas at low prices. Order a torta, top it with some salsa, find a spot in the park, and enjoy!

Sometimes in Oaxaca it is hard to get a "little something" instead of a full meal. We are very careful about eating street food but we had heard so much about this place we had to try. A sandwich on a big roll is around 22pesos, they come plainer and more full. Roll is spread with black beans, has avocado... More

Arrived at La Hormiga after two recommendations to find a line of people that moved quickly, a large and varied menu, good prices, good service and GOOD FOOD. Lots of places in the park to sit and eat too.

The line is long for a good reason, but it moves quickly so STAY. Get your food to go or eat there in the park. You really can't miss. Excellent tortas, inexpensive. The ambiance is wherever you decide to eat.
