Not the average dishes, but pretty much a good local taste mixed for unique dishes. Price is pretty accesible and you can enjoy a beer or taste different mezcals.

We chose this restaurant as it looked very simple and the selection of food was nice. We (obviously) had another tlayuda here, which was really delicious. The molotes were different from what we expected, they were made from flour tortillas and filled with ricotta-type cheese (I'm used to plantain molotes) and the chicken in sauce was also delicious. It seems... More

We had lunch here and it was delicious. I ordered the pulled pork mojo de ajo sandwich and my husband had a more authentic mexican dish of a cheese filled empanada. Both were delicious. The guacamole was yummy. The atmosphere and service was pleasant. We sat upstairs near the window and watched the world go by. No complaints.

My friends and I stayed at Quinta Real Hotel across the street from this restaurant and our rooms faced this little restaurant. Each night they had a different band playing so at first we were worried about the noise. It turns out that Quinta Real's double windows kept out the sound so we would regularly open the windows to enjoy... More

Stopped in after a movie and enjoyed the complimentary Mescal along with a light snack. I had a blue corn Tclayuda Senillia that was great others had some tacos in a great mole and Molletas (the ingredients of a Tamal cooked on a Comal (pottery stove top). All good.

We loved it here. Food so flavourful we came back next day to try something new!! Utterly distinctive, raw flavours that hit the tastebuds in such a fun way. And oh man, the looks of delight coming from us as we tasted our food. Foodgasm!!! 💋 And... best Michelata in town, says my partner :) 110% recommend. You'll be missing... More

We decided to try some of the recommended dishes and they didn't disappoint! The Enchilada de Coloradito (tortilla with chicken and mole sauce) was "to die for" and the tacos with shrimp melted in your mouth! The service was friendly, helpful and attentive. Our server, Ramon (I think) spoke English well but encouraged our attempts with espanol. Our table upstairs... More

We had lunch in the upstairs area. It was a nice space. I ordered the shrimp and cheese tacos and my husband the chicken mole. Both were delicious though my dish was a bit small. The cheese was good, not flavorless cheese-like substances that pass for cheese in most restaurants here in Oaxaca. The complimentary shot of Mescal was a... More
