Xiguela is my favourite cafe in Oaxaca! The have super delicious toast and French toast for breakfast with really nice nutty bread and apple jam. There are loads of options for vegetarians, including a great tofu ciabatta and fresh salads. They also make my favourite banana smoothies with water and ice, and they're really good :) We staying right around... More

This sisters run this and the organic grocery next door. Good breakfasts (huevos rancheros and a la mexicana, papaya and yoghurt) good hot chocolate, cakes and deserts, and sandwiches that make a meal. I am here every other day. And fun staff (BTW the waiter plays Pink Floyd if you are not careful.

I always shop at the Xiguela Health food store, so I decided it was time to eat at their restaurant. I went there for breakfast. I had the huevos rancheros that were tasty with a side of black beans. I also had their jugo verde that was made up of spinach, pineapple and orange juice. The restaurant was busy with... More

Delicious sandwiches, salads, breakfasts. Fresh ingredients prepared artfully, and served with efficiency and friendliness! And in the cool neighborhood of Jalatlaco!

I'm a writer, and have found this a quiet comfortable place to work. Easy wifi, and quiet in the mornings. And the most comfortable chairs in all of Oaxaca (at least three of them are)! But if I tell anyone, there will be no room for me...

I love this place for breakfast (I do breakfast about noon-almuerzo). The sisters who run it and the adjoining health food store are neighborhood institutions. Their family is wonderful, like the food. Everything sparkles with their care. I do the eggs every day (almost). The chocolate is fine, the coffee, OK (hint:go across the street to Blazon and bring back... More

Great little place to stop in, and they make smoothies (they use organic and pasteurized milk products), coffees, teas, and mmmmm Oaxacan hot chocolate! The store adjacent sells high-end organic and artisan style food products like coffee, teas, agave syrup, chile sauces, etc.

The salads they have are a great break from the tacos, tlayulas and tortas. They have one , the campesina, with avocado, tomato, pesto cheese and cucumber that is amazing. Their products come from the organic shop they also own next door and you can tell they are really good and fresh. The prices are a bit more expensive than... More
