I've been two weeks in San Cristobal de las Casas and went almost everyday to this cafe. It has such a great, relaxed and peaceful atmosphere and the coffee, juices and food are really good as well! All the people are kind, helpful and open-minded. I love this place!

we stayed a block away for a week in san cristobal and had our morning coffee and light breakfast here almost every day of the trip. the coffees are all very good & types of beans and brewing methods are numerous. we tried lattes as well as french press- all were great. the atmosphere inside is dark and cozy, and... very atmospheric place, nice big bagels and wholemeal bread, good options for vegetarians. service a little slow, but this is the case in most places, just different culturally.

La frontera is a very nice Restaurant and offers also tables in the colonial yard with beautiful flowers. It invites to spend a relaxed day and staying longer than the meal. They serve a variation of healthy dishes, shakes, smoothies and coffee. Vegetarian alternatives are available and very deliscious.

Sitting under the ancient wooden portal which holds up the traditional tile roof - looking into the patio is one of my favorite quiet dreamy places to have lunch and take a break. The food is excellent. Seared tuna on a bed of lettuce and slivered carrots is a favorite. Craft beers available from all over the place, plus luscious... More

We ended up at La frontera going here SIX times, over three days. They are such lovely people, respecting what they do with food and drinks. Always helpful and pleasant no matter how busy they get. We were staying close by and this became our first place of call. We tried other cafes and restaurants but always happy to go... More

Frontera is a pretty eclectic place you can either take a coffee, a beer or take a fine breakfast with artisanal bread. The please is very relaxing, it totally worth expending an evening just chilling.

La Frontera offers very good coffee and baked goods in a comfortable atmosphere with couches, easy chairs, board games, books and an airy, sunny patio. However, the soup we tried was insipid and the sandwich on bagel was nothing special. In fact, the bagel served resembled one of those mass-produced ones sold at Sam's Club. Just the same, I wish... La Frontera has become one of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch in San Cristóbal. With a wide and greatly selected coffee from around the world, healthy juices and salad options, and a lovely garden where to bring your dogs (they're totally dog- friendly), I can spend long hours working or chatting with friends enjoying a cool peaceful environment....
