We've been to La Cocay twice in the last few weeks. Service has been poor. Waiters show up and then disappear for periods of time. Food is Ok but not great and inconsistent. The first time I had a tuna sushi appetizer that was good. The second time it was cut really thick and didn't taste like sushi at all.... More

We read the reviews and talked to some folks that just raved and raved about the steak at Cocay. So we finally tried it, and it was fine, but certainly not the best meal I've had on the island. A plus is that they have a parking lot, so that was convenient. Both A/C and non A/C seating options. No... More

I heard this place was pretty good and since it was like the only restaurant open on Monday night I was like why not.... Loved it! (Except the duck) It's another one of those take out a flashlight cause it's too dark to read the menu restaurants. But with that said, I liked it. Important: there are like 3 cats,... More

I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem. The owner Kathy was very accommodating for our large triathlon group in for Ironman Cozumel and wanting a traditional American style Thanksgivng dinner. It's only a few blocks off the main drag, tucked into a residential neighborhood. Once inside, we were promptly greeted and shown to our tables. The atmosphere... More

|All of with many others, the 11 of us enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with Kathy and company last evening. Food and service were excellent as we've come to expect having enjoyed Kathy's hospitality for the past 20 years.

We wanted to try this restaurant given the great reviews. We however were extremely disappointed. Our appetizer - lobster ceviche, took close to an hour to get. It was okay - had more apples in it than lobster. We both ordered fish which was over cooked. The fish was supposed to come with mixed veggies; I'm not exaggerating when I... More

Had a wonderful meal here this evening! Our server was friendly and very helpful in recommending favorite dishes. We chose the caprese salad and a large pizza (half Cocay, half shrimp), accompanied by the house merlot. All were delicious! We highly recommend La Cocay and we will definitely be returning on our next trip to Cozumel.

This local spot is a bit hidden in the heart of town, but boasts a pleasant indoor or outdoor dining area. The salads were quite fresh and the Pizza with Duck and their classic burger were very well done. Service was spotty and without finesse but the evening was delight for our anniversary celebration.

On our annual pilgrimage to Cozumel, we returned last night to our favorite restaurant, La Cocay. The Tapas dishes were generous and tasty, the seafood was to die for, and the duck every bit the best of the best in the Americas. We also devoured the superb sausage pasta and finished with two desserts, one of which was an oh-so-smooth... More

This by far was the very best food we had on the island. It is a little pricier but well worth it. The staff is terrific and hospitable.
