This is the only restaurant we visited during our one day in Cozumel. We were really looking forward to great authentic Mexican cuisine and were disappointed. The service was very slow, the whole sampler platter was very overcooked and not very flavorful. We did have...More

My wife and i were in search of a delicious lobster dinner and we hit the jackpot. La Mission is a cozy, fairly large open air restaurant just off the main drag in down town San Miguel. They typically have live, culturally appropriate music ranging...More

I guess I'm a little spoiled by the availability of good Mexican food where I live in the States. The food was good, but nothing different from what I'm already used to and very similar to the restaurants of similar region near me. The highlight...More

Sorry to say that I can't recommend this restaurant. Grilled fish was white frozen piece with frozen veggies. Waiters and chefs are not motivated even there where less guests in restaurant. Spend less money on better food 2 streets south at beachside.

My wife and I had heard of La Mission. Easy to find, right off the main drag near the cruise ships. Shaded but open aired restaurant with plenty of ceiling fans to help w/heat of the day. Be forewarned, there is a smoking section off...More

This was our 2nd visit to La Mission. The enchiladas are just wonderful. The tacos both beef and chicken are not what you get in the USA—no cheese, no sour cream. Just fresh salsa and guacamole on homemade corn tortillas. Service a little slow (when...More

Family went there twice for the week, once for lunch, later for dinner. Super good shrimp that are huge and yummy! Also tried there fajitas and Mexican combination plater. Great family atmosphere and close to shopping and a nice walk along the water afterward.
