I heard they served Lion Fish. I had never tried it so was excited to go. It was fantastic. The staff were helpful and friendly. I suggest you use a cab to get there. It's outside the main tourist area.

This was by far our best meal we had during our 5 day visit to the island this past week! The place was not crowded with tourists and felt more like a "local hidden gem" rather than a popular tourist spot, even when we knew...More

I visited La Perlita for the first time this past week, while on a cruise. I was headed to the East Side, and I have always wanted to visit, but it's a bit of a trek when only in town for several hours. It happened...More

We had lunch here on a Wednesday around 1pm—weren’t the only diners but it wasn’t horribly crowded. For those who are visiting—probably best achieved by taxi if you don’t have a car—you could goof it from the waterfront strip but would certainly earn your meal....More

We have been to La Perlita four times in the last two years and the meals have always been great! This year my wife had shrimp and snapper and both times I had red snapper. When the snapper is in they bring the fish to...More

Take a taxi out to La Perlita, sit down in a chair that has a scuba diver hand-painted on it, and eat some delicious seafood in a casual restaurant that feels like Mexico. They offer several preparations of lion fish - an invasive species that...More

One of our favorite places to eat while in Cozumel. Coconut lionfish is excellent. Portions are large enough you could easily share. Nice atmosphere, reasonably priced, and good food. Definitely worth going to.

I love this little, out of the way restaurant. The service is friendly and, while I was the only gringo in the restaurant, the waiter spoke excellent English and was kind in listening to my inept Spanish. The lion fish was sautéed with garlic and...More

My husband and I have been meaning to try this restaurant, having heard great things about it. It is a local restaurant, away from the Tourist areas. We had Lion fish in coconut and shrimp in a "hot" chili sauce. Both were excellent, fresh and...More

We visit Cozumel every year and finally we found a great seafood restaurant. The seafood is fresh. We had whole fried red snapper and it is out of this world. We have also tried grilled seafood platter. Excellent. This place is worth visiting. If you...More

Mark, Sorry, I don't know if the restaurant is dog friendly. But my guess is they might be. As you know, dogs are everywhere in San Miguel! Since you are local, give them a call. (987) 869-8343
