We went to La Perlita for the lion fish special. The restaurant is funky mexican rustic, the staff were helpful and attentive. This is an authentuc mexican experience...not tourist mexican. In saying that my expectations for cleanliness, food presentation and flavor were not met. While my husband did get lionfish and it was a flavorful..coconut tempura, i am sure i... More

A little gem of a restaurant tucked in the back streets of Cozumel.. we were told by locals about this restaurant for fresh seafood. They are particularly popular for their Lionfish. We had the coconut encrusted Lionfish. Excellent. Good margaritas too. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

If you like lionfish, consider this casual open air restaurant that is off the beaten path. The food is great. The lionfish ceviche is amazing. The portions are great and the staff is very welcoming of tourists. I will go every trip I think.

They were out of their signature dish, Lion fish. We ordered lobster. Severely over cooked. The shark empanadas were not good, but the ceviche mixed was good! If you are here a week and trying out the local fare, this is a can do. If you go out 1-2 times while here, go to ponchos backyard or la mission.

First time here and it didn't disappoint. Had read a lot of reviews and they were right on. I couldn't believe the portion size! Don't miss it. We will be back!

The food is very good! We ordered ceviche and some grilled seafood. They don't have AC, it is hot! The service is good but slow like everything in the island. This restaurant doesn't have a view and it is not near the sea.

We were pleasantly surprised...very clean, friendly, fast service at a very reasonable price. We had both coconut crusted lion fish as well as grilled lion fish. Both were delicious!!!

Our dive master took us here after an early morning dive and this was exactly what we needed. My daughter was happy with her quesadillas, but the real treat was the lionfish ceviche and the shark lasagna of tortillas and hot red sauce. The ice cold beers to boot were just what the doctor ordered.

Went with several people. My wife had fried shrimp and I had the coconut crusted lionfish. Both were outstanding. Service was great and the waiter spoke good English. Best news is the price - very reasonable.
