We are currently in Cozumel and ate at Chilangos 2 nights ago. Sweet local people work here and we had no problem ordering from the menu board even though little English is spoken here. The food is what you should expect for the price. We prefer to spend a little more and get a better quality. Their cheese was weird... More

This place was UNREAL. Nothing crazy, very clean, well lit and great service. I could tell Chilangos was the place to eat from all the people standing out front on the street waiting for their take-out food and man were they right! We split 4 different kinds of taco's but the one that blew my mind was the cactus and... More

Way off the beaten path, cheap and delicious! We had tacos and charros beans (bean & meat soup/stew). Service was a bit slow, but the food was great!

Amazing food. This is one of our favorite hole in the wall places in Cozumel. It opens late- 7pm. Outside dining w/ no ac but the cold beer makes up for it

I wish I could move this restaurant to my neighborhood here in the USA. Great food - simple choices - good portion size. For example, I had one of the pork plates (I apologize for not remembering the exact name) - corn tortilla, a little bean paste spread around on it, the pork, then some cheese (real cheese chunks/strips) and... We ate at Chilangos twice during our recent week in Cozumel. Be advised, there is no English spoken here! We had quesadillas on our first visit and Huaraches on our second. Located on Avenida 30, we parked right across the street both times. This is a local area but all was good, we felt safe and welcome. It was me,... More

You know this place is good because it's a favorite of the locals. There is both table service and take out. Staff don't speak a lot of English but they are friendly, courteous and do everything they can to make sure you get what you want and enjoy your dinner. Prices are incredibly low.

We were brought here by a Cozumel resident for authentic cuisine and we were not disappointed. The food was good, fresh, reasonably-priced and plentiful! I finally tried Nogales (cactus) - YUM! Staff were friendly and accommodating. There will definitely be another visit in my future!

This is as authentic a taqueria as you could hope for. If your Spanish is weak, just point at the wall and the waiter will bring you one or two of whatever it is you indicate you want. The portions are TEXAS size, meaning big. You can have a quesadilla or a hurache of whatever's on the small menu. Just... More
