Based on trip adviser reviews we had an evening meal here and found it quite acceptable. No complaints; food ok and staff attentive. Easy to find just a short walk from the main square.

the setting is quaint yet lovely, garden dinning and dining room with ac. I had breakfast here on my last day in Merida. Food is delicious, and service is excellent. I was intrigued by the name of the restaurant as anyone who has walked The Camino from France to Santigo De Compostela starts under the Pilgrims Portico. It brought beautiful... More

We came back after a several years, my last review was 2014. The quiet atmosphere is welcome and conversation is quite easy consequently. We were early due to tikets for the Symphony, it is located only a half block on Calle 57 from the Teatro Peon Conteras. We enjoyed a nice ensalata verde, crisp iceburg, tomato, bell pepper, shredded carrots... More

I'd eaten here years ago so returned in June-July. Food was good, although I have had tastier food in other places, but what was on my plate was way way too much for me, so I wound up wishing I hadn't eaten there! I probably wouldn't go back but others should try it. Atmosphere is nice and staff gracious.

Pork chops, bacon wrapped chicken livers (very good) and shrimp w/roasted garlic (cooked perfectly). Not extravagant, but good service, good food, and good prices. Very limited by the glass wine selection, but you can get a bottle and take what's left with you. Inside or outside seating, just off Santa Lucia plaza.

We had a lovely time on the patio, which we had to ourselves on a Friday night. It was full of tropical plants, was spotlessly clean, and had a few small tables with white tablecloths. Our food was amazing, the drinks were good. I loved the pollo mole and even had a dream about it that night. The server was... More

I have to say I was a little disappointed with this place after reading so many glowing reviews. Yes the courtyard is nice but there’s something dingy about it too. I started with sopa de lima, which came with chunks of lime pith and rind in it, and then for a main I had the pollo pibil, a half chicken... More

My wife and I dined here 3 years ago and were enchanted by the atmosphere, the gentile attitude of the staff and most of all by the food. Having returned and dined in the 'patio' we were not disappointed. Seated in a lovely garden, we enjoyed, once again, the food, friendly service and reasonable prices. Try it; you will like... More

We went here for dinner based on a couple of recommendations. It has been around for some time. The space was very nice....a courtyard away from the street and the crowds that filled Merida over the Easter weekend. The waiter quickly set up a fan for us to keep us cool. They specialize in Yucutan cuisine (not as much of... More

We were looking for a place for dinner last night, and we were completely turned off by all all the menus being jammed in our face on Calle 60, so looking here on Tripadvisor we found Portico del Peregrino just around the corner. It's a quiet place, with a lovely courtyard garden and well-appointed dining room in back. Perfect place... More
