Enjoyed our breakfast. Nice spread of Valladolid sausage, eggs, vegetables. Coffee was OK, thought it would be better because they have roasting equipment in the restaurant. Overall I would return for Breakfast again.

Very enjoyable restaurant. Open 24 hours a day. Very friendly staff. We have eaten omelet vegetarians and scrambled eggs with chorizo. Both were filling and tasty. They have a pastry that they must offer you or you get it free. One is plenty for two people. The perfect touch at the end of your meal.

Cafe la Habana is very middle-of-the-road. Service was very good. Meals were very so-so. There are better places to eat in Merida.

This place is right across the street from Reforma Hotel, very conveniently located in downtown Merida. While most places close down around 9PM after dinner, this place is open 24 hrs - so that makes it a very viable option for people that just get done drinking in the nearby bars at midnight and are looking for something to gorge... The sign says it has been there since 1952. How? The service was totally incompetent. More errors in orders than was done correctly. And the ordering was done in Spanish. The coffee was tepid. The food was ordinary at best.

We originally went here because it was very early and we were desperately seeking coffee, and they were open. Good move on our part! The coffee was very good, and the food was as well. We ended up coming back the next morning, too.

Came for breakfast and were sorely disappointed. Although the coffee is good the food was terrible. The biscuit tasted like bimbo bread, the omelette was made with canned mushrooms and the quesadilla had such a thick, stale tortilla it was difficult to chew. The staff however, were very friendly and attentive. Food needs an upgrade though.

As a full-blooded Cuban, I was cheered by the name and decor of this restaurant, which included wall-sized photos of Havana. This place has nothing to do with Cuba or Havana, except the name. I inquired about a Cuban Sandwich and was told it contained ham and guacamole. Whaaat? That wouldn't matter much if the rest of the food were... More
