Came here because the front desk at our hotel recommended it. Not a good recommendation for us. Did not like the tacos at all. Hey I might be wrong, this place was jammed packed, but we didn't care for it.

Extensive menu of great comfort food at good prices near town center we had the stuffed baked potato with steak.....very good and very filling and only 90 Pesos! Service good. They have menus in English or Spanish. Obviously a local favorite as there were 2 people having birthdays right near our table. We wanted a break from Yucatan food so... More

Awesome tamarind margaritas for only 33 pesos. Delicious food and very lively atmosphere, mostly locals. Tacos are a bit more expensive than some of the 'local' stands but still reasonably priced. Came here a few times while in Merida.

We ate here several times for breakfast since it was across the street from our hotel (El Gran). It seems to be a popular breakfast spot for the locals. They have a few inexpensive breakfast specials. You can also order larger breakfast meals. The fruit plate is plenty for two people as an add on to your meal. Lunch and... More

The restaurant is across the street from the hotel (El Gran) where we stayed for a month. Los Trompos was one of our favorites for breakfast. Usually ordered a plate of fresh-cut fruit...an omelette or scrambled eggs with ham or bacon with Chaya...juice and coffee. Great prices and really good food. Can't beat Los Trompos.

If Yelp had 10 stars I would rate los trompos 10 * for breakfast. Their fruit platter alone is enough for 2 ppl and nicely presented. We made.the mistake of ordering additional food like the combo French toast and the combo croissant. But finished them anyway since they were quite good. We wish we found this place sooner as we... Got a selection of tacos and was a very good discover after a previous dinner at la Chaya maya. Food is tasty and served fast.
